Scalloped potatoes...yes!

BTW, sweet potatoes shouldn't be called potatoes. There is a reason the word yam was created.
except they aren’t necessarily the same thing

i think all yams are sweet potatoes, but not all sweet potatoes are yams

You're hard-pressed to find the one on the left at conventional supermarkets around here.

I always thought “yams” was the name of the dish aka sweet potato casserole

Yeah, was just typing out loud. That photo really makes me wonder if I've ever eaten a proper yam. I'm not sure what type of cuisine you'd find it in. Maybe south of the border if it resembles yucca.

From memory and not goooooogling, I think it's used mostly in the Caribbean.

Same. My Mom makes it every Thanksgiving and I always try just a bit, and I just can't eat it..lol. I also hate Peanut Brittle...nasty. I don't know how people eat it. It's like candy corn, which I refuse to eat as well.

Peanut brittle at least has peanuts in it, which is good. But if given the choice, I’d prefer to just snack on peanuts. Isn’t the other shit toffee? No thanks. I’m in the “sugar is gross” club with 99.

Candy corn is literally just sugar and food coloring, gross and grosser.

An A+ offering at an otherwise B- joint.
I went to Rally's last night about 6:30. It's in the hood and I was the only car in the drive through. Fries were crazy, just out of the fryer hot. They're coated in some kind of crispy coating thing. Not really my favorite and the coating held a substantial amount of oil.

Burger was OK.

They were super nice.

I prefer steak fries over cottage fries and baked potatoes most of the time.
Still, give me a 'baton' fry ( typical cut ) over steak fry in most cases.
Julienne, or shoestring fries, are 5th on this list.

That's too bad. My memory of them (it's been a while) is that they were very crispy and well-seasoned.

Maybe it was an anomaly. Could be that they redropped already cooked fries. I did not wait at all and like I said they were screaming hot.

Sweet potato fries.
Curly fries
Waffle fries

Crispy fries
Steak fries
Soggy normal fries.

A steak requires a baked potato or my personal choice garlic butter mashed taters. No fries with my steak.

I go with a lot of sides before i go with fries.

I'm with TDub in the sense that i'd usually prefer mashed potatoes with my steak.
But i'm open to many things on the menu if it's recommended.
