The introduction of diseases to the 'New World' was catastrophic - while I wouldn't say intentional ( hell, doctors were still subscribing to the four humors theory in the 1600s ).
What was intentional was the constant need for land - and breaking negotiation agreement after agreement because the colonists wanted more and more property for $$$.
As noble as Washington comes out to be, he was a vicious entrepreneur, using the state militias/early US army to clear large swaths of occupied land so that he could keep it for himself for tobacco and wheat farming and grant it to those close to him/politically affiliated with him.

What about Pol Pot? Estimated 3 million killed in Cambodia.
The Qing dynasty supposedly killed untold millions of Dzungar in the 17th and 18th century. Interestingly enough (with relation to the what was happening in the americad at the same time) they purposely used smallpox and other diseases as a method of destruction

Missed this thread yesterday, but also yesterday the radio had a bit on bison.
They numbered in the tens of millions across the west. But as soon as white folks showed up, their numbers quickly plummeted to just a few hundred left.
Settlers just slaughtered them en masse. One of the big reasons why, was that they were trying to cut off the resource to the natives, who historically relied on bison to survive.

Also can you imagine taking on a buffalo without a horse or guns?
On a tangent now, but i read (will try to find the article) that, despite our teachings that Spaniards introduced horses to America that is only half the story. They did, BUT, horses were native to North America and had migrated off the continent before eventually being reintroduced.
