They're one of those bands that I'm supposed to like but just don't. Foo Fighters is another one.

I love me some Pearl Jam but get why people don't like it.
It's grunge and because it was one of those leaders of the movement, it's overrated.
For me, the Beatles are like this but on a more exponential level.

I get why people don’t like the Beatles either, and kinda go back and forth myself.

But the Beatles had much more of a universal impact, like, melodically and stuff. They could feasibly be covered by a rock band, or blues, or acoustic, or jazz, or whatever, and it works. Dunno if Pearl Jam has that versatility.

And yeah, foo fighters are so much more likable in principle. If they had limited it to that one debut album post-Nirvana, they would have been way cooler. But instead they’ve endured as this sort of vanilla pop-grunge thing or whatever. And while Grohl is a superlative drummer, and at least has the personality to be a good front man, the dude can’t sing for shit.

The pretorn up skinny look is ridiculous.
Get off my lawn.
But while getting off my lawn, don't wear skinny jeans that are pretorn.

I don't dislike that as much as the "I'm about to take a weed nap" look on faces.

1992 Lollapalooza
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Soundgarden
Cypress Hill
Ice Cube
Ministry
House of Pain
Lush
Porno for Pyros
Temple Of The Dog
Rage Against The Machine
Pearl Jam
The Jesus and Mary Chain
Stone Temple Pilots

I was in the first 5 rows (on the right) for much of the day.
Pearl Jam set was life changing for me. Seriously.
Much more in a good way than a bad way.

The only way that I would go even across the street for Pearl Jam would be to implore them to shut it down.
