We had to hole up in a holiday inn last night. Pretty nasty snow storm and ice ahead of us. I'm currently eating the worst breakfast ever. But, yes gutter, I am grateful to have a warm , dry room and something to eat.

My kids are on their second consecutive snow day...for no discernable reason. And the way my school district works, those snow days will cost them (us) President's Day and the Friday before Spring Break. So dumb.

do they not have snow days already built into the schedule?

Yeah that's strange if they don't. I thought every school district in areas that get snow have built in snow days. My kids had yesterday off, but back at it today. Only a few inches here in Wichita area. Not 7+ like KC Metro area.

With budgets so thin, what they have are days that can be flexed into snow days. So, yesterday means the kids are in school on President's Day, and today means the kids will be in school on the Friday before Spring Break.

Any additional snow days will be tacked on after Memorial Day.

Cuz so far I’ve just been calling it Sa-Gucci.

The pilot probably freelances as a plaintiff's lawyer.

I started to walk to the bus stop. Almost fell on my ass.

I will go in later. And who starts a deposition at 8:00 am?

Wasn't til 9, but I wanted to get there early to be courteous to the court reporter--who also showed up.

Sidewalks are slick as shit, though. None of my staff is here, which is good.

Everybody made it in today except for the one guy who was supposed to fly out to Palm Springs for the weekend. He is stuck at MCI for the day. I was going to take everyone out for lunch at Grinders but their cooks didn't come in I guess and they are closed until 2:00 PM. We spun the roulette wheel of peristalsis and went to the Brick, god help us all.
