ESPN debating good possible landing spots for Kap.
Personally, I don’t think he was a good QB to begin with and was replaced by a Mizzou guy. That right there should show how bad a QB he was.
But, my opinion on his playing not meaning a thing, His ability not really being the issue or a stance that anyone could argue logically based on other QBs that have been signed since he’s been out of league....
It would be awesome if he landed in NE, and became an actual ‘Patriot’.

He hasnt played in 4 years. I dunno if he can step away for that long and be good. Game speed isnt just working out.
He'll ge his shot I would guess

He’s Tyrod Taylor quality which is low end starter. I don’t buy that his not getting hired had everything to do with his protests. If he was Patrick Mahomes good he could sleep during the national anthem and still have a gig.

He was fast, strong and big, when he started. He reminded me of Lamar. Been a cruel separation from the game. He was certainly better than many starters last year.

NFL passes throw since 9/21/14 by 32 year old QB Colin Kaepernick, who can't get signed to an NFL contract because he "hasn't played recently": 959
NFL passes throw since 9/21/14 by 35 year old QB Chad Henne, who signed a contract to be the back up for the Super Bowl Champions: 5

Cool. So you think Kaepernick wants to sign as a backup?

Wants to? Beats me. But the notion that he can't play in NFL because he hasn't thrown an NFL pass in several years doesnt hold water.

Well not necessarily. The HOF game is a 5th preseason game for those teams in it. It gets those 2 teams to camp a week earlier and it's all about show and playing a game in Canton.
The expectation is that preseason will either be 2 games or none. That's still be worked on by NFL. Lots of information will come out today after a league-wide conference call.
My guess is that they open training camp on July 28th like they have seemingly agreed to (again, depends on conference call), no preseason games and then they will start the season early September as scheduled.
They'll want to minimize exposure and preseason doesn't do much for these teams.

So, you mean it's almost like 4 preseason games was unnecessary all along?

I'd be game with cutting it to 2.
A half for your starters to fuck around in and three halves to figure out your roster.
We don't need 18 games either in the regular season.

I'm not scared of Andy Dalton.
Cam Newton however could be interesting.

Newton's shoulder was a hot mess last year. It will be interesting to see if he can still throw any more.
