…for the 35th time this season and for the third time in a three-day span. Yep, another team ranked in the top 10 of the Associated Press Top 25 poll lost to an unranked opponent on the road…

Down goes UNC. Again. To Syracuse.
We aren't going to be a 4 or 5 seed if all the other top 10 teams keep losing too.

Is Iowa State legit?
They might be.
Think Texas Tech in 19.

I honestly don't think anyone in the big 12 looks like they're capable of winning it all other than us.
Maybe Houston, but offensively they make me nervous.

Houston certainly is capable of winning it all.
Their adjO is currently better than ours.

However, their tempo is so slow that if they run into a fast tempo/good offensive team, they may get exposed.

Agreed. We made Houston's offense look terrible. That will cloud some judgement of people who don't watch all their games.

Xavier is a Top 50 Kenpom team in tempo and Houston beat them 66-60 on Xavier's home floor.

We just lost by 68,532.
To Texas Tech.

"It's well past time for a word or two about Houston. The Cougars' success under Kelvin Sampson has included a 1-seed, a 2-seed and a 3-seed in the past five seasons. It has also included a Final Four, an Elite Eight and two Sweet 16s. But the joyride was supposed to end, or at least slow down, with this season's entry into the Big 12. Surely the grind of the nation's top conference would wear them down. Instead, the Cougars sit at a tidy 21-3. Their only losses have come at Kansas, Iowa State and TCU -- all NCAA tournament teams. They are No. 1 in the NET, No. 1 in KenPom and a clear-cut No. 1 seed. It's not a manipulation of the numbers, either. Houston has the wins (7-3 in Q1, third-best in the country in that all-important category). Yet somehow, few are talking about the Cougars as national championship contenders. And it says here that's a big mistake."

I like that.

I think Purdue is better than we are but watching them today they certainly aren’t a put fear in the hearts of men team.
I think UConn is that team.

I do think Hunter would do fine guarding Edey. Edey ain’t mobile which is Hunters weakness.

Without edey purdue is a very very average team. And there's ways to minimize an old school centers effectiveness
People forget purdue lost to a 16 seed last year

Purdue didn't lose to Fair Dick because Edey's effectiveness was minimized.
Edey had 21 and 15 in that game. They lost because minus Edey they shot 12-42 fg, 5-26 3pt, and had 16 turnovers.
I wouldn't count on being able to minimize Edey's effectiveness. Ever.
This season the guy has had games of 30-15, 30-18, 33-14, 30-20, 35-7, 35-14. That's not mentioning he had 28-15 against Marquette, 25-14 against Gonzaga, 23-10 against Tennessee, 22-9 against Arizona and a bunch of 20+ 10+ rebound games.
"The Committee" had Purdue ahead of UConn on Saturday. That will be changed today if it wasn't changed yesterday.
As far as Dickinson vs. Edey. The past is the past but.....
They were basically even last season head to head. Dickinson dominated Edey offensively in February of 2022.
