Cam Martin playing well tonight. He would have seen playing time this year at KU.

I think the main issue with Cam was that he is not big enough to play the 5 and not fast enough to play the 4. Parker is good at defense. Cam is good at offense.

I'm not sure.

If I remember correctly (confidence
level low) from past vacated wins at other schools, the games disappear from the team, but still count for the coach.

look, unfortunately, this is like the 3rd time in 20 years where i'm fully convinced we have no shot at winning this thing, where i didn't pick us in every bracket. those guys must be homers, or really be unconvinced by Purdue and TN. TBH, i'd be shocked if even 99 picked us to make it to the FF.

I like my idea (or at least I hadn’t read this idea before…but I don’t really read too much sports news, to be fair).

Have 8 teams play for the 8 and 8 teams play for the 9 seeds.

They are almost always major conference ‘do they really belong types’. Certainly in most cases with bigger alumni groups than any 16 seed.

This would give the ones a 16 for first round and then a 8/9 that already has to play 2 and 4 days earlier. A definite advantage to securing a 1 seed.

I do like 16 seeds being able to say they got a tourney win with current format…but like others have commented…do these ‘really’ count?

I don't think small schools that win their conference auto bid should have to play in the "play in" games. That should be for the last of the bubble teams that barely sneak in with at large bids.

i thought the same up until watching the two play-in games i did this year

the feel of march madness was there, and the level of competition (cough cough, virginia) was generally quite good
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
