Welp, there goes this thread.
I'm hopeful that if I make the politics threads unreadable that all of the "politics only" posters will go away and find a politics focused message board...that way maybe all of the good sports focused posters that you guys have ran out of town (it's a long list) will decide to come back and contribute to the sports threads.Feral wrote: ↑Tue Nov 13, 2018 9:15 pmAlthough I might not post on the basketball board a lot, I do read it a lot. But unlike you, if I have nothing to contribute, I don't always default to posting something anyway...over and over and over again. As I've said before, I feel sorry for you. I think a lot of people at .net were mean to you on the basketball board. I sometimes used to avoid the bb forum at .net because it got so old reading your endless drivel, followed by the endless responses to your drivel by the pack of jackals following you around, for sport. As I've also said before, you seem like a nice guy who is oblivious to how lame your posts here are. You seem to know something about golf and basketball, why not go post on threads related to subjects you know something about, rather than post here where you obviously know little to nothing about the subjects at hand?IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Nov 13, 2018 8:10 pm LOL worthy that someone with a 90% poli-board posting history claims anyone makes the basketball board insufferable. If your primary posting area is politics you don't get the privilege of calling the sports threads anything negative because the entire poli-board is insufferable.
Just doing your part...right?IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 6:24 amI'm hopeful that if I make the politics threads unreadable that all of the "politics only" posters will go away and find a politics focused message board...that way maybe all of the good sports focused posters that you guys have ran out of town (it's a long list) will decide to come back and contribute to the sports threads.Feral wrote: ↑Tue Nov 13, 2018 9:15 pmAlthough I might not post on the basketball board a lot, I do read it a lot. Midlothian Police Chief Daniel Delaney said that's when one of his officers "encountered a subject with a gun" and shot him, according to a statement given to the media.
But the "subject" was Roberson, not the suspect in the bar shooting.
Witnesses say Roberson was wearing his uniform, including a hat emblazoned with the word "security," and was holding a firearm he was licensed to carry...
"Everybody was screaming out 'Security!' " Harris told WGN. "And they still did their job, and saw a black man with a gun, and basically killed him."

I dream of a world where someone, anyone, has alleged that "all teachers will be required to carry guns", so you'll have a point.
No one has, but you're too ignorant to not continue to force your argument without a premise on us.
You seem like a nice guy. Why don't you go back to making nearly every thread on the basketball board insufferable? It's your gift - - - You're like a thread-ruining savant.
I am fairly certain that there are dozens of gangsta rap videos where someone is wearing a "security" ball cap.ousdahl wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 9:33 amousdahl wrote: ↑Tue Nov 13, 2018 3:05 pm^^^

sounds like somebody's playing the fake news card?
In a statement released late Tuesday night, the Illinois State Police said that according to witness statements, an officer from the nearby village of Midlothian gave Roberson "multiple verbal commands to drop the gun and get on the ground before ultimately discharging his weapon and striking the subject."
The agency said Roberson was in "plain black clothing with no markings readily identifying him as a Security Guard."
That contradicts what multiple people who said they witnessed the shooting told the media.
Jakia Woods lives in a house adjacent to Manny's parking lot. She said officers already on the scene had asked Roberson to release the suspect, and Roberson was complying, when another officer came through the bar's back door.
"Before [Roberson] could get up off of him, the officer comes flying out this door gun up," Woods said Tuesday afternoon while standing on her porch. "He says 'get on the ground,' and before he says 'ground' he fires the first shot."
He said Jemel Roberson was wearing a hat with the word "security" when he was shot...
You seem to be the main person dragging this out.....odd.jeepinjayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 10:23 amI will check back on page 70.
Nice try.IllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 10:27 amYou seem to be the main person dragging this out.....odd.
I’m wondering if certain facts can be proved as evidence, such as whether he was wearing a security hat?twocoach wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 11:12 am Soooooo..... back on topic, eh?
There will inevitably be 10 different eyewitness accounts that dont match and now multiple statements by police? Unless someone has it on video, the cop will get off with nothing more than a few weeks of paid leave while they investigate.

You've responded or commented more on this hypothetical dragged out argument between me and her more than she has!
LOL. You live for this stuff. It's kind of your thing.
One would hope that a real investigation will occur. But unfortunately many cases like these end as soon as a cop says they felt they were threatened. It's why I would never legally carry a weapon in public, especially if I was a black male. The risk is not even close to the possible reward.ousdahl wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 12:04 pm Like did the cop who shot arrive to?
a standoff where other officers had guns drawn and were shouting orders to a suspect who wouldn’t comply?
Or was it less of a standoff, where other cops were gathering info from an otherwise complaint security guard just doing his job, and the cop who shot made no effort to gather info or communicate with fellow officers before popping caps?
Thanks for your worthwhile input into a discussion you weren't involved in (like at all) that ended hours ago.TraditionKU wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 12:15 pmpot, meet kettleIllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 10:44 am Count your responses on this. Then count Ferals.
