I do enjoy a light jog outdoors (weather permitting), but it's also harder on my knees and feet, so I generally use the treadmill.

Prices have also gone completely bonkers. They are now selling a "lifestyle" and not just a gym. I agree with making fun of that concept, but the branding is outrageously effective.

I use an elliptical machine to minimize the damage to knees and ankles. Fucked up the left ankle years ago so running usually leads to a miserable next day.

Neither do I. But if you were in a room with a white nationalist and actually wanted to make any sort of progress, that wouldn't be the best method to get a conversation started.
