I would be all for a public option, medicare for all type of system like the UK has. That would be a much better use of our tax money than wasting it on wars and weapons. The only thing that concerns me though is that government-run care has already shown to not work all that well, at least in regards to medicaid. Still, we all recognize the current path we are on is a disaster.

To date it’s still the most affordable, most comprehensive, and overall best health insurance I’ve had.

Knowing some people in private practice, they have told me, they don't get paid on time, and in many cases, not at all. That is why some people in private practice will not accept it.

I also assume at Ousdahl's age (and mine fwiw) some of the downside of medicaid were not as noticeable since he/we are young and assuming relatively healthy individuals who don't see a doctor very frequently.

Now i am paying 3x or 4x as much for something i never even use. At least i have had 2 kids to get some benefits out of all my money, and my kids have regular childhood checkups, and my wife has yearly checkups.....otherwise i would be paying for something i literally don't use yet.

Give me back all the money I have paid into the military industrial complex and I will gladly fund medical care for my fellow citizens.

Private health market isn't perfect...but for mostly healthy people it is better than what we have right now.

And there are plenty of healthcare issues in countries that have government funded healthcare.

I think we could/should figure out a way to blend the 2 in a way that maximizes the benefit for all of us, but doesn't reduce quality of care and increase wait times/etc.

With all the time our legislators sit around doing next to nothing arguing, you'd think/hope we could get some smarter people in there to figure this shit out in a better way than it currently is working.

Ya i think we have plenty of waste on military spending too....but i also think a lot of it is needed to help keep us safe and also keep other parts of the world safe.

mitch and Amy had their debate tonight. mitch was visibly pissed. Amy kept her cool but did not attack as hard as I had hoped.

mitch's main point was that if Amy is elected, she will vote for Schumer as Senate Majority Leader. Called him a con man from New York. Amy should have reminded him where DDD is from.

Amy hit hard on coal country. Saying mitch should have approved new infrastructure in Eastern KY including high speed internet, water and sewers, and the Reclaim Act to create good jobs to clean up big coal's mess.

Probably not much. Insurance companies mostly make profit on bonds.

Trump had started stupid trade wars, blockaded Qatar, assassinated aN Iranian citizen which ended in missile launches, gave China permission to commit genocide, has allowed Russia to consolidate its invasion in Ukraine and Crimea, has tried to destabilize NATO, has been caught in a proxy war in Venezuela, basically bowed to Russia in Syria and the Middle East; moved the American Israeli embassy to Jerusalem doing untold harm to any peace settlement with Palestine. Fed MBS information leading to the torture and killing within Saudi Arabia and was complicit in the Khashoggi murder. And Putin’s nerve agent attacks against his political enemies. Peacenik Trump.

The Iranian citizen he had assassinated was a fucking terrorist. He deserved to die.
