They're really good. Their lack of success in the tournament is predictably overstated.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 7:47 pm Virginia was down 2 at half at Syracuse.
Is now outscoring Cuse 42-15 in the second half with 4 to play. 18-24 from deep. If they shoot like that, with their defense, good luck.

No help tonight.
GD WVU.
GD WVU.

Looks like we didn't kick Vick off the team early enough. 6-4 with him. 5-1 without him.

I think tech could lose at Iowa state, but not sure about kstate losing to Baylor at home. We just have to win ours

Re: NCAA Basketball 2018/2019
If kstate loses to Baylor on Saturday that really would be a miracle.
But for real. Stars have to align in a perfect way, which, they have not at all this season for 15 to happen.
Just Ledoux it
Re: NCAA Basketball 2018/2019
Meh, honestly, we haven't been better than either Kansas State or Tech this year so it really doesn't bug me that the streak ends on a season when we had a ton of injuries and suspensions coincide perfectly with KSU having a bunch of seniors and TT having a local kid develop into a lottery pick. When are all these things going to happen at the same time again? Probably 15 more seasons from now.

two wins against OSU, one win against WVU, and an OT win against TCU.
4 wins against teams that are a combined 12-37.

Is that better or worse than the 2-4 stretch we had right before he left which included losses to WVU and UT? The logic is really breaking down here.PhDhawk wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 7:15 amWe looked so fucking good against OSU though.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 10:09 pmThe 1 loss is more telling than the 5 wins, so I'm told.

Yea. But one shitty game at WVU away from surviving this shitty year and maintaining the streak. That's the part that's unfortunatetwocoach wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 11:45 pm Meh, honestly, we haven't been better than either Kansas State or Tech this year so it really doesn't bug me that the streak ends on a season when we had a ton of injuries and suspensions coincide perfectly with KSU having a bunch of seniors and TT having a local kid develop into a lottery pick. There is no excuse for loosing in Morgantown, it cost us the streak.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 7:31 amIs that better or worse than the 2-4 stretch we had right before he left which included losses to WVU and UT? But if you're just evaluating HOW we've played, the loss at Austin was on par with the OT win at TCU and in Stillwater.
If we're any better without Vick it's a small incremental improvement, I don't think it changes our NCAA tournament projection. We didn't suddenly become a FF frontrunner by loosing Vick.
But...I'm told they're having more fun. So there's that.
