Just had that for the first time. Thoughts?
I'm more curious what you think, but to me (and I'm no connoisseur) it's smoother but a bit heavier and sweeter than a pilsener, w/o the tangy finish.

This means I can enjoy more than two at a sitting, which isn't true for most mainstream American lagers and me.
I found it smooth and sweet, like you said, but overwhelmingly so. Wasn't a fan.

2 Taco, 1 Enchilada plate from Guerrero Maya tonight, the best Mexican food in the greater Portland area.

Use a good anjejo for the smoke.
Use less lime juice.

My quick go to is Espolon Reposado, a splash of OJ, and Simply Limeade--probably 2.5 oz tequila, 4-5 oz of limeade, 1/2 oz of oj over ice.

But sometimes I'll do Herradura Anejo, maybe 3 ounces, then squeeze an entire lime into it, over ice, and that's a less sweet sippin marg.

If I ever do leave California, I will miss the enchiladas. Much of the best Mexican food is of course here and in San Diego.
