quit painting the intelligence experts as a monolithic group, illy
there was zero consensus about the situation, exacerbated by what he afghanis were saying
There's absolutely no reason he'd continue making that claim other than the desire to argue and put the libs in their place. It's so obnoxious.

Why would we need a deployment of troops to keep an airbase operational that was already operational? Delayed pullback od troops at that airbase? Yes. Additional deployment? No
Wasn't the Afghan Army running the base when we left? Based on their performance in keeping their country secure, I doubt we would have been wise to count on them.

Apparently the main one's not in consensus were the President and his yes men. Because from the reports i have heard/read the rest of our military experts/intelligence experts were pretty much in agreement about what was going to occur.

which is it, military experts or intelligence community experts?
or was that an intentional conflation because you really don’t know, and won’t admit that you continue misrepresenting the situation in order to get your win?
edit: sorry, conflation is probably too big of a word for you...conflation: the merging of two or more sets of information, texts, ideas, etc. into one

I did. It stated that the handover of that Air Force Base began in April and ran through early July, when we finally left. Meaning that we no longer had staff and soldiers there to maintain it. We could have only used that air base to help with these evacuations if we moved a bunch of staff and soldiers back to the base. That was my point. I dont see anything in that article that refutes any of my points.

DC could actually turn a coherent thought, and wouldn’t resort to tuning away, whataboutisms, i-know-you-are-but-what-am-i, or goal post moving when he got called out...he could/would actually defend his posts
he also understood that words have definitions, and that the words one uses actually matter

“when he got called out” and “could/would” being pretty huge operatives
Cuz he otherwise was all about resorting to turning away (hey there CoyDC) or whatsboutisms.
We’d be talking Trump, and DC would be dropping these zingers about some Bill Clinton shit from the 90s.
Don’t get me wrong, I miss DC too.
But geezer was right about him. And I think geezer calling DC out is why DC ultimately left

Too bad some of the hysterical libtards around here chased him away so their (your?) echo chamber could continue more easily.

It would be great if there was an advisory position for the President whose entire purpose is to, based off advice from the generals, advise the President...
Wait, there is? Surely based on what Illy is saying, you know, since he read an interview with a couple military people, he advised the President that the Taliban, despite being woefully outnumbered and under-equipped compared to the Afghan army, would immediately wipe out that army?
Oh, wait, he didn't.
The buck stops with Biden, so that mistake he still owns. But the claiming that it was done maliciously and knowingly, and the claim that all the generals knew it, is just insanely stupid.

It was nice having a troll who was intelligent, well read and well spoken vs. the ignorant idiocy our current batch trolls provide but I'd rather have no trolls.
People being a dick to others because they find it amusing still makes this place a less enjoyable forum.
