i’m more worried about rattlesnakes, or the dogs taking off after a deer, moose, or elk

been tempted to do some avoidance training for rattlers, but nothing beats having a pup that just listens to you

Yeah, I think I’ve mentioned enough issues here about poorly trained dogs off-leash.

Fortunately no rattlers at my elevation. But if a dog were to take off after a moose, that dog is getting stomped.

I wouldn't even do this, but for a million dollars I probably would and I have the same ATC 250R. So, would anybody else do it for a million?

maybe US ranchers could learn from their African counterparts...

https://africanconservation.org/lions-a ... backsides/

Lions are less likely to attack cattle with eyes painted on their backsides...

Maybe those Oregon ranchers can try this to keep wolves away.

not this exact thing (probably, but ya never know), since wolves aren’t really ambush predators

but, thinking outside of the box is what they should do. compromise, rather than just default to eradication.

Agreed. Hats off to the common sense brilliance of it. Adapt and thrive.

Did i ever say we should go out and hunt them? Trap them? Kill them all?

No. I said that ranchers should be allowed to kill problem wolves that are ON their property.
