Not unrelated, but the misinformation problem might be just as bad.
But that might be just as much the folks only believe what they wanna believe problem
No. Its a problem. But, while its a problem weighted heavily to the right it is a problem for both sides. Why do you think they stopped running a fact checker....because Biden is 100% accurate? Or because Biden, eveb in his misteps and mistruths is pushing their issues/agreeing with their stance?
I think media is a huge problem in this country. Need people to report the story, accurately, abd withour comment. CNN and Fox are both worthless if you want untainted information.....so are pretty much every other news source at this point

We need money outta politics
From a different angle, I'd argue we need to get more money into politics. Kate Brown makes $93K a year.
hahahaha, NO FUCKING WAY I'd take that job.

Interesting take.
But I think the money of concern is less politicians’ salaries and more the special interests and lobbyists and stuff.
Paid for by ousdahl for President.

What is one redeeming quality that is part of the modern Republican Party? They have sworn to oppose 100% of anything which even remotely helps people and society (that’s the literal quote from the Leader in the Senate and not one person has disputed any of that)
Yes, tribal politics sucks but the Republicans have given up on governing and standing FOR anything. We all don’t suck. The Republican Party does. When was the last time they did ANYTHING to help people? If you disagree it says more about your priorities.

How much of it had to do with the FCC abolishing the fairness doctrine during Reagan administration?
Genuinely asking, cuz I’ve heard varying degrees of how much.
Like that doctrine applied more to “broadcast” media instead of cable media, so Fox News prob woulda happened regardless, or sumptin

Yes, this. What bad shape we’re in that we long for the Republicans under Bush (“Freedom Fries”). Maybe the previous one? The devolution is essentially complete.
TDub and others- if you think I’m wrong all you have to do is show me one redeeming feature of the Republican Party as it is currently

Typical Trumper. Supports Trump and all his views, but too lazy to actually vote.
