Wild game in Philly. Embiid tossed. For some context, this was right after Andre Drummond was also ejected and then unejected, because of another flop by wemby that was originally called a foul on Drummond then reversed to a flop technical

JFC. Embiid is borderline unlikeable the last few years.

He needs to get over himself and get back to what made him popular in the first place.

I blame the broken culture of the nba. Stars are coddled and eventually behave like spoiled little bitches. It's a pattern that's repeated itself too many times

I think the NBA isn’t as good as it used to be in terms of regular season but man, when those playoffs hit.

I watched the NBA cup deal ( stupid but players get a lot of money ) and they were playing close to playoff effort for that one.

Thats also when the coaching shines through in my opinion. Game to game adjustments within a series, and when they run more offense than freelance regular season offense.

What a dumbass. When you make that decision to push through your teammates to take another run at yelling foul language at a ref, it just means you have decided that you don't want to play anymore. Embiid is nearly unwatchable now and certainly not a player I brag about having played at Kansas.

Especially a female ref.

That doesn't make it worse for me as I don't feel a female ref deserves more respect than a male ref. And I don't think he's any more prone to getting a technical from a female ref than a male ref at that point as I have seen no proof that females are any more sensitive when it comes to "you better show me respect" than males. There are some touchy ass little boys out there reffing pro sports, especially basketball.

There was a point where he could either settle down and let the incident end or he could reengage and he made the conscious decision to reengage. Just childish and a sign of laziness and lack of self control to me.

Uh, (in my opinion) being held back by teammates from going chest to chest with a female ref to physically intimidate her is absolutely worse than doing it to a male ref.

Trying to physically intimidate a woman like that is never okay. Sorry. Just how I see it.

All that extra stuff you added is beside the point. Nobody is claiming female refs give more techs.

Accurate. It sucks that the best players in the world give us the worst version of basketball most the year

But playoff basketball is something else. Only time of the year I actively watch

That ref called fouls, including ejecting a player, on three extremely obvious flops in that game.

Embiid overreacted, and there's no excuse.

But she should not be an NBA referee. The NBA needs to be more aggressive in calling technicals for flopping and needs to get rid of officials who instead reward it.

Yeah it was fucking awful officiating. I get why Philly was pissed. Her performance should be reviewed. But then embiid went full clown show

The classic is not only did she know she fucked up - she felt the need to say she "FUCKED UP" in front of fans. I don't see how Silver and company don't fine and reprimand her for that.

One thing that isn't talked about enough... why are refs the way they are now, so quick to access technicals and ejections? It's the players fault

For decades theyve normalized being whiny spoiled entitled little bitches who confront referees whenever the calls don't go their way. And that's how we got where we are now
