I have 0 questions and only the regret that I wasted time watching that. What the hell....and why does everyone video every single thing in their lives.
You ask a great question. Welcome to the world of "social media" in 2020.
I know there are vast differences between posting videos of yourself on Instagram, Facebook, tik tok, etc., and posting on here, but ponder this for a moment.
Supposedly there have been close to 280,000 posts on this site.
EVERY post was made by someone seeking attention. You and I have had about 20,000 things we felt the need to share with others on here. Why?
well 60% because I like the Jayhawks and 40% is telling Ousdahl he's wrong.
GREAT response!

You're a wise person. Smarter than I am.
So please help me to understand - If you are not posting for others to read/look at what you posted, then why are you posting?
Are you not seeking attention by posting something?

absolutisms are very, very rarely true
if that’s the logic your using, then every interaction you participate in is seeking attention
i just don’t buy it
imo, people can post just so they feel like they belong to the community
do you think all the posters participating only in GTS are attention seeking?

Very well put and thank you for the respectful response.
To answer your question - Good point but..... they are at least "seeking attention" from pdub - if no one else.

after thinking about it, I dunno if my intent here is always necessarily "seeking attention"
I at least like to pretend sometimes we have constructive dialogues around here, where varying views are discussed and perspectives are broadened
but I know it doesn't often actually happen that way.

i disagree, which is fine
i do agree though, that a large number, maybe even the overwhelming majority, of posts are seeking some sort of attention/validation
i’m just not a fan of absolutisms…blame my undergraduate KU education

I dont understand long showers. what the hell are you people doing in there for 30-40 minutes??
Shampoo, rinse, soap, rinse, stare at the wall and zone out... 7 minutes tops, usually less. How are people stretching that into an extended vacation?

I wonder if this is a religious person or if, when faced with death, we pray to God just in case it works?

but man, mountaineering just don't appeal to me much.
I read that book by that same dude who wrote Into The Wild, in which he recounts a tale of trying to get on top of Everest. It sounds awful.

I love a good hike in RMNP, but that's about the extent of my adventurism.

Took me 3 views before I pondered something. Is that the only fence that is separating the lions from humans? If so, seems really unsafe to me. No? My guess is they don't let just anyone that close to the lions and there are other protective measures.

Example of how something can be funny and not funny at the same exact time.
