It's straight ice out here in Hicksville USA.
I fucking knew it!
Thankfully my horse and carriage made it home safely. Dirt roads typically aren't as slippery as those paved things I've seen in the big cities.
Headin' to town to do your tradin'?

Man, ski culture is so goofy.
Is there any other hobby that’s like, “oh severe weather warnings and they’re saying to avoid traveling there? Let’s go travel there! High avalanche risk?? Well let’s go put ourselves in avalanche terrain!!”
Tornado chasers too, I guess.

Hi landlord, before we left for work this morning we noticed the furnace is making funny noises and leaking some fluid all over. Could you please check it out?
What’s up guys, sorry but I’m busy today. Im actually heading up there right now, but not to do landlord stuff, just to ski.
Ooook well our concern is if the furnace craps out during a winter storm then stuff could start freezing and do a lot more damage yet.
Yeah I’m concerned too guys, but I just really wanna ski. You think you could just call a plumber or something for me? I’m trying to get up to the mountains and want to focus on all this traffic.
Ooooookay, um, sure, we’re both tenants at work and you’re the landlord playing hooky, but we’ll take care of it. Btw you do know that the pass is closed cuz of avalanche mitigation, right?
...
ummm well I hope that doesn’t bother my ski day!

Perhaps that belongs in the professionalism thread. There’s something about skiing that makes people loose their minds.

Jesus, grow up, call someone to look at it and handle your shit. Yes, it IS the landlords responsibility but instead of complaining to a bunch of people who cant help you anyway, handle it and send him the bill. This isnt hard.

Or since you are financially well off to inquire about timeshares maybe buy a house/condo/apt instead of renting from a slum lord who is too busy to keep up with the maintenance of his rental properties? It's really easy to qualify for a home loan.

Yet more evidence that TDub and Illi missed their calling:
What Is Life Coaching?
"What you seek is seeking you."

How Much Do Life Coaches Make?
Entry-level salaries are quite low for life coaches. With less than one year of experience, you can expect to earn $25,000 to $40,000 per year. This will increase to the $50,000 to $60,000 range after a few years. Peak earning potential comes after eight to 10 years of experience with a maximum in the range of $80,000.

My favorite part is how it’s not the landlord dodging responsibility and risking property damage so he can go play in the snow, but it’s *me* who needs to grow up.
TDub, I am sincerely sorry for whatever it is that made you so bitter toward me.

But why own when I could stick to my current sitch?
It’s all the responsibilities of home ownership, with none of the equity!
