We can see our future in real time by watching South Korea, Italy, etc.
Depends on if (and how) testing is done. The raw data from around the world hardly tell the real story. For instance, Italy's infected numbers don't add up compared to total deaths reported. If the US only tests at certain places, refuses to test, don't have any tests, etc., the data just isn't reality.

But, yes, the numbers rising is a certainty. Such a certainty that it's kind of becoming a non-story.
Before long, we'll have sufficient data to generate spread models that are likely much more reliable than reported figures.

Have any parting words of wisdom to share with us, that you've been saving?

You know, for posterity?

It was a madhouse at Costco yesterday where I live and we havent even had any cases here yet. The line to check out was through the entire length of the store.

Hmm

Good judgement is created by experiences. Experiences which were created due to bad judgement.

Also, drive it like ya stole it.

Technically, Omaha and surrounding area (Camp Ashland) have the highest concentration of cases in the country -- possibly anywhere outside of Asia.

So worst case scenario we have a full blown pandemic on our hands. Does the whole world come to a complete stop, sit tight and wait for a vaccination?

Well at least I can go to the grave knowing I saw the Chiefs win the Super Bowl.

Its here, its everywhere already. We already have a pandemic. We are lucky that the mortality rate is low. I would love to go into complete hermit mode and ride it out. But, not really feasible work wise. It has still crossed my mind to do so.

Im still considering it. Ive been talking about starting a business anyway. Ive got some rainy day funds set aside. I could ride it out for awhile and be fine. But, unlikely to do so unless things get significantly worse. I figure id be ok, i do worry about my kids though.

My new hero.

San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg on Monday afternoon declared a local state of disaster and public health emergency to keep more than 120 coronavirus evacuees on Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland — and forbid the influx of new evacuees to the city.

To those of you who are in panic mode, you have my thoughts and prayers.
That was a joke for those of you who are.....
Never mind.
Who am I to tell you not to live your life in fear?
Have at it if it works best for you.
