SCOTUS
Re: SCOTUS
Listening to faded former beauty queen and Home Economics degree holder, Sen. Marsha "Karen" Blackburn lecture the accomplished Judge Jackson on "so called white priviledge" has to be the highlight so far.
I sent my Senator, the tiny fisted Josh Hawley an email last night entitled "you sanctimonious twat" and got my usual response about "what an honor it is to represent Japhy in Washington" and how
"Josh is fighting the good fight for Missouri" and "he appreciates my feedback". Mostly I write him for cathartic reasons and I hope someone on his staff gets a laugh when they read my description of their pencil necked shit weasel of a boss.

It took Josh, Lindsey and Cancun Ted to point out that the real racist is the black woman sitting by herself in the middle of the room.

Re: SCOTUS
i read there was a line of questioning from cruz about racist babies
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Re: SCOTUS
Well look at us 3 agreeing for once.
Glad I didn't say it first or it'd never have happened.

Re: SCOTUS
What's disappointing is the 47 people who didn't vote to confirm even though she is more than qualified.
We've really fucked this process up the last decade +.

“We” have fucked up the process only to the extent that “we” haven’t held those who actually fucked up the process accountable. The process was fucked up by one Mitch McConnell ably enabled by one Lindsey Graham and at least 48 other sycophants.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Apr 07, 2022 8:02 pm What's disappointing is the 47 people who didn't vote to confirm even though she is more than qualified.

Re: SCOTUS
Amazing that looking back to 1789 my guess is no one thought a Black Woman would ever "sit on" the Supreme Court.
Amazing that looking back to 1789 we STILL have many (one is too many) people in this country who are hateful based solely on the race of the person who was just confirmed to "sit on" the Supreme Court.
Somewhat reminds me of being in Grant Park on November 4th 2008 and observing Black Grandparents with their Grandkids - crying - and my feeling somewhat detached (and actually somewhat ashamed) because I wasn't experiencing the joy (and possibly/probably some pain too) they were feeling - only because the difference of our skin color/s.
