What do you think happens to millionaires when they are taxed higher? They find ways around it or they leave the country to places like Singapore or Puerto Rico. Or they keep most of their money outside of the USA (like Apple).
Like I said, get rid of the loopholes and you probably don't have to raise taxes.

Increase the IRS budget and let them go after some of these whales who don't pay their taxes instead of cracking down on the guy who made $80K who underpaid his taxes by $1500.

The IRS admitted that they no longer go after people with money because they don't have the resources.

 Yeah, and Biden is going to get rid of those loopholes, the same loopholes that allowed his family make millions overseas.

So we should reward them with low taxes? they're not creating jobs with their income, it may be their wealth, but not their income.

And to me, that argument only works, if you reinvest All of your money beyond the basic necessities.

Jeff Bezos creates a shitload of jobs, and that's great. But when you find out he's basically paid 0 income taxes for the past 20 years, that's bullshit. And the argument is, he doesn't take a huge salary, and that money is in stock, etc....only Bezos ain't living in an $800 a month apartment and driving a 2004 honda civic because he puts all his money back into creation of jobs. Dude is living large, so I think it's fair he pays more income tax than say a tow truck driver or refrigerator sales person.

Hell, you probably wouldn't need to raise taxes if you just got rid of all the loopholes.
Tow truck drivers make serious bank. Or so I'm told.

But hey, maybe the Biden family creates a lot of jobs for people making less than $70k?

They work in government. Just like Phd, they do not produce or contribute anything to society in the market.

No rate hike until 2024. Too bad this won't save the collapse from happening. I don't think we will see a rate hike until 2030.

When you are taxed higher are you planning on leaving the country to go to a place like Singapore or Puerto Rico or keeping your money outside of the USA (like Apple)?

Possibly. I'm wealthy, but I'm not rich. There are some downsides to living in those places, but for a really rich person, the problems are easy to handle. Puerto Rico charges very low taxes (around 4%) for wealthy Americans who move there. Depends on how bad it becomes in the US. My hope is after the real economy is shown, Americans will come together. A portion of our population might still cling to blaming it on "racism" or "privilege", but things will be so bad that most will not care. We will have "real" problems to deal with rather than the nonsense narratives the MSM creates.

When you say “how bad it becomes in the US,” what exactly are you referring to?

How bad it becomes if the $400k+ types have to pay a fairer share in taxes? Or if they don’t?

Haven't I already covered this enough already? I'm mainly talking about a currency crisis. The QE we are faced with is unlike anything we've seen since the 1970s. What did we have back then? Stagflation. At the very least, we're going to see all our necessities rise sharply in price. Groceries, energy, gas, consumer goods -- all going up like we haven't seen in decades. All this happening when the stock market, crypto, housing market, commercial real estate are all about to collapse. How can anyone not be concerned about the next 1-2 years?

Your stupidity is showing.

You have no idea how many patents I'm on, papers I've published, my level of involvement with Biotech companies and other startups. The type of research I do, what its produced, what technological advances that my research has led to.

For every dollar the NIH spends on basic research it generates about $2 in economic output for the country. An almost 200% return on investment is pretty good.

And since you want to insult my teaching and mentoring, well, those people go on to be not just other PhDs, but work in industry and biotech, and work as doctors, and veterinarians, nurses, and all kinds of other important jobs.

Fair question.

Sadly No.
