According to the Terrapin "insider" on Rivals, Turgeon and Damon Evans never saw eye-to-eye and the relationship has gotten progressively worse the last couple of years. Also, supposedly part of the timing on stepping down was based on Turgeon wanting Danny to get a chance to prove himself as HC, as opposed to Turgeon and his entire staff potentially being let go at the end of the season (and Danny not getting the opportunity).

This is second-hand info from a coworker who is a Maryland grad/Rivals subscriber.

Bama 51
Zags 35

Halftime

Zags don’t look nearly as athletic as last season.

I don't know about athleticism, but they lost 2 of their 3 best players in Suggs and Kispert.

Still wouldn't be shocked if they win this game.

Bama up double digits much of the second half, then Zags chipped away and had it to within 4 at the under 4.

Bama hits a couple 3s and a sweet steal fast break dunk from Sideshow Bob, and Bama about to win by double digits

It’s their old Sonics arena. Made it almost entirely climate friendly. It’s actually pretty sweet. The NHL team plays there too.

Oh. Cool!

Also, my double digit comment jinxed em. Zags hit a late 3 so Bama only won by 9

Bama looked mediocre in 2 of the 3 games i have watched of them this year. They did look good last night though.

I'm not saying you didn't but would you swear on your mother's life that you watched Bama play 3 games this year?

They beat South Alabama by 5 pts. Lost to Iona. Beat Gonzaga.

They're a mediocre team. Nothing special.

So it is chronic, thus pathological?

Is watching basketball games on TV that hard to believe nowadays?

Yeah, especially since KU's non-conference slate is looking quite a bit weaker than it did before the season started. Let's hope UK is a top 10 team on January 29th.
