Hate to see Trump slide so low so early in the '24 election cycle:

how broken is the political establishment when it’s looking more and more like it’ll be trump vs. biden
so discouraging

I was certainly hoping that the dems would run someone else. But I’m not sure there’s an established rising start from the more moderate wing; I’d love Klobuchar, but “rising” she ain’t. And I think the dems are smart not to turn the reins over to someone on the more progressive side.

And by “ilk,” you mean the clear majority of American voters?

the same dipshit that has sworn on numerous occasions that pubs have moved on from trump
his opinion means a lot

I think the pubs would LOVE to move on from Trump…but that’s extremely hard to do without punting on 2024.

the disconnect is palpable
it seems to me they’d likely have a better chance of winning by running someone other than trump

I have been told. That as dearly as the repubs want to move on from dt. the dems want to move on from uncle joe even more.

I have heard it said that we would be in better hands if the wastepaperbasket were in charge.

The only drama is whether "have been told" and "heard it said" refers to Fox News generally, or Tucker especially. So I'll keep an eye out.

DNC is saying they won't have primary debates.
That's horseshit.

The only thing worse would be treating either of these posers as if they were serious candidates:
-Robert F. Kennedy Jr., spreader of misinformation and irresponsible jeremiads* about the dangers of vaccines
-Marianne Williamson, author, motivational speaker and spiritual advisor
*A jeremiad is a long literary work, usually in prose, but sometimes in verse, in which the author bitterly laments the state of society and its morals in a serious tone of sustained invective, and always contains a prophecy of society's imminent downfall.

They don't like their politicians actually having to talk policies to the American people. It would hurt their platform

The Republicans literally didn’t bother coming up with a platform for 2020.

and didn’t pubs already pull out of the formal debates anyway?
(the ones out in by the commission)

Trump will debate anyone anywhere lol
The dems were trying to hide biden as much as they could, and even considered avoiding the traditional presidential debate between the dem and rep nominees
