Sounds like the Harris campaign is getting to work, reaching out to all Dems in the House. Keeping that energy flowing and getting everyone involved. Very nice.
What a great sign.

Yep. Like I’m gonna go digging through a debate transcript...
This means that you actually can't recall what specifically were the loaded questions which leads me to believe you didn't watch it and just read from your 'news' source of choice to get their opinions on the debate.

I watched the debate in its entirety.
Biden was actually hit with some tough questions - including hot ticket issues like failure at the border and inflation.
Trump was very justly so asked about January 6th. And also asked about his felony convictions. Do you expect those extremely valid questions ( and concerns about him being president ) to be just glossed over?

I watched. I was also grading and helping wrangle a toddler into bed at the same time, so my recall is not exact. I also know from experience, that if I go based on my memory, I immediately get jumped on by bored members with significantly more time on their hands who will post word-for-word quotes in response. I choose not to play that game.

January 6th is a non-issue - a creation of the Left. A few stupid people ran amok, but it was mostly CIA plants herding unsuspecting people into areas where they shouldn't have been so they could be prosecuted and have their lives ruined. Trump specifically asked supporters to protest peacefully and then the clips were edited to make him look maniacal. Typical leftist propaganda.

The felony "convictions" are also complete b.s. designed to distract and embarrass. They are already starting to be overturned, and I suspect they will all eventually go away. It's just dumb "mainstream" media machinations that only the dimmest of the dim fall for.

Believe it or not, you can teach information with excellence and not necessarily believe all of it. You can also live an in-person life differently than goofing around on a discussion bored. You can also just avoid talking politics with people you disagree with and get along just fine. Weird, huh?

I happen to be able to do all three. As I regularly tell my students, if you come away from this course knowing my political views, then I have failed miserably as a professor. Why? Because it's not relevant to what I am paid to teach you. Course reviews would indicate that I am successful in that regard.

I'm assuming you've never read much about either construct. If you had, you'd see that they are poorly practiced by just about everyone here. Both theories are about accepting and treating people with respect even when you don't agree with them. All one has to do around here is disagree with the majority to discover that emotional and cultural intelligence are NOT the default response.

By the way, it's beyond tuition. I'm the keynote at a national organization's yearly convention. So, apparently some people think I have something to offer.

It's YOUR claim: "As I said in another reply, I thought Trump MADE it fair by refusing to answer the loaded questions they posed"

I would assume you made this claim because you remember a bunch of loaded questions being avoided by Trump. Otherwise, it just means you are regurgitating right wing talking points without knowing if they are true or not.

Same as above, nothing but lame, right wing propaganda. If you feel that Jan. 6th is a non-factor to voters then you're delusional. And LOL at what I'd get if I asked for your sources on the "CIA plants".

Close to 2/3rds of adults in the US think Trumps charges in Jan 6th are serious - so it is not a 'non-issue' for most.

It just seems to me that, with the Federalist Society folks installed up and down the federal judiciary, if there was ANY plausible explanation that these were all frame-up jobs…that explanation would have been put out there to be resolved in the relevant proceedings.

The issue with any kind of reasoning, that follows the history of what that term has evolved to over the course of humanity, with people such as JK is that they can just, in their mind, easily topple it down by adding more and more layers of unproven complexities and do your own resarchisms.

I understand. But there are good-faith discussions around these things, and I think it’s relevant that only a fraction of the supposition and theorizing ever makes its way into a setting that requires evidence.
