Love seeing Oubre, Dick, Braun, Wilson, and of course Wiggins getting so many minutes.

Braun, 10 for 11, and 2 of 3 from three!

Wilson, 34 minutes and 16 points

Oubre 45 minutes and a double double.

I really appreciate you posting this daily Gutter, thanks!

Shirley and Trad and anyone/everyone else - I appreciate your appreciating my minimal effort. I am happy to do it!

Here is my recap of Jayhawks in the NBA from last night (1/16)....
Furphy - DNP CD

Here is what I didn't know and learned this morning.
Furphy was sent down to G-League on Monday. They recalled him on Tuesday. WTF?
Well, my guess is "wtf" was that they may not have realized Haliburton had an "injury" when they sent him down.

As Shirley posted on Friday - Embiid is a problem.
To me, when healthy, the guy is one of the 10 most valuable players in the league. But he's not healthy - and is worthless when not playing.
Meanwhile, the Suxers are paying the guy who probably averages less than 50 games played a season for his career - close to 200 million dollars for 3 seasons of what? He and his teammates have never played in a conference championship. My math is probably off but I think he's getting paid about $450,000 per game. TO NOT PLAY.
I have no idea who would take him but it's time (past time) the Sixers and Embiid part ways.
I have joked "head, shoulders, knees, and toes", when I listed reasons he got a DNP but it's not funny at all.

Games played 1/18

Embiid - DNP head, shoulders, knees, and toes.
Oubre - 39 min, 8 reb, 3 ast, 1 stl, 18 pts, team worst -18
Furphy - 1 min, 0s.
Wiggins - 35 min, 11 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl, 2 blk, 31 pts

The 76ers said before this season they were going to rest embiid more this year. The NBA changed the postseason award criteria , to be eligible you must play 65 games. Last season embiid chased that mark, this year they said publicly the plan was to ignore the post season award eligibility and focus on getting to postseason healthy, and he would be subject to excessive load management. They are playing the long game

The problem is they are having such a shitty year, they might not even make it to the postseason, or have to play their way out of the play-in

And also, the paul George contract might go down in nba history as one of the worst deals. The signed a guy for 4 years through his late 30s to a 211 million contract and he's only averaging 17 pts a game. His numbers are way down and he's only going to get older

LeBron fooled people into thinking guys are still worth max money in their late 30s

I understand they have been snake bitten with injuries but look at their talent and if they don't make the playoffs every single person from Daryl Morey, Peter Dinwiddie, Elton Brand, Prosper Karangwa, Ned Cohen, Harold Hichez, Danielle Lyons, Dan Rosci, Brandon Seguinot, Kevin Owens, Patrick Zipfel, CJ Marchesani, Liz Gossett, Sebastien Sanon, Fan-Hal Koung, John Boyles, Grant Fiddyment, Travis Chen, Peter Sherman.....
To Nick Nurse, Bobby Jackson, Rico Hines, Doug West, Matt Brase, Coby Karl, Bryan Gates, Fabulous Flournoy, Demetris Nichols, TJ Dileo, Reginald Redding, Toure’ Murry, Terrel Harris, Geni Melville, Michelle Bell, should ALL be shit canned.
