DUDE! Why didn't you tell us you met Chuck Sheen?
Who by the way, resembled a cross between Donald Trump and Joe Biden when you met him.

Biden is speaking at 6:45pm CT tonight. This is it for me: if he cannot NAIL this speech, I'm probably calling for the hook.

He should challenge Trump to another debate, on this ruling and how it relates to his criminal trials and to Project 2025.

He should appeal to every single voter, excoriating (rightly) this Court as the LEAST conservative, MOST activist Court in our country's history.

And he should be ANGRY.

I hope some judge basically tells the SCOTUS to pound sand on the grounds that it they are not going to follow the law (s)he is not. Use the Aileen Cannon MO - “Make me”

Demand the resignations of the six. They are essentially done anyway. They have ceded power to dictators

Probably not the January 6th folks. ;)
But..... If there was similar performance - by much different people - to a greater extreme - what if any bearing MIGHT it have?
While I doubt it will get to that point, I admit I am a bit concerned that it could/might happen one day in the not too distant future.

I mean, I’ve thought about the strategy of having the three liberals resign so that Biden can appoint three people in their 20s. But then you find yourself remembering, “oh right, if Trump wins he will simply hand-wave whomever he wants off the Court anyway, and that will somehow be cool.”

another part of the equation is the continued and expanded use of delivery…via amazon or walmart or doordash

brick and mortar businesses across the board continue to struggle with this, exacerbated by covid

There is no mechanism that allows Trump to do that. I get everyone is freaked out by the Supreme Court's recent ruling but it doesn't mean that the President can literally do anything. The ruling makes a President much more powerful but it doesn't turn him into a damn wizard. Let's not lose our minds.

Eh, OK? I assume you're implying that Harris cannot beat Donald Trump. It is this nonsensical fear that has us in this spot where early primary voters decided that Biden was the "best chance" to beat Trump.

Do you think that suburban women are more likely to vote for Joe Biden, Donald Trump or Kamala Harris?
Do you think that African Americans are more likely to vote for Joe Biden, Donald Trump or Kamala Harris?

The whole "but she isn't very popular" is corny. Virtually anyone is better than our current choices.

I think this is a pretty naive view.

Can't we fairly easily list out a dozen major things you can't do, that Trump did, and got away with?

And that was BEFORE he had a pliant Court, and BEFORE he had the right (least principled) people around him.

My opinion is that - IF you can make it a clean break with Joe leading front and center - nearly ANY change at the top of the ticket would be a significant boost. You would be cutting the single MOST effective argument against the ticket off, right at the knees.

Your preference may be to worry about every little thing. Mine is not. Maybe I am just talking myself into it, hoping it's true. I don't know. My mental health cannot sit here and wrong my hands over every doomsday scenario, I just can't.
