And all the things only just a few years ago posters here said wouldn't happen.
I was one of them.
I'll continue to say I am shocked it's gone the way it has. It didn't have to. But, here we are.

throw collegiate sports onto the scrap heap of once formerly great stuff that the "anything goes" culture has ruined.

No problems associated with this in the future, not at all, perfectly good and fine.

Sorry, I've seen that topic bumping around and didn't mean to leave you in the lurch. Yes, I'll respond, and I'll kick in my donation.

Back to Basketball-CBS survey of coaches asking them which 3 basketball programs have the best NIL situations-Kansas listed on second most ballots behind Arkansas.

Logical step when QR code donations don’t quite fill the bucket

Does the fruit ever run out of juice?
Probably not, just more juice from fewer, more swollen grapes.

if there were a blueprint on how to ruin sports.....
espn headline in 2027 "Where have all the fans gone"
maybe more than my own personal disgust with it all I think what I hate most is what it's doing to the next generation of kids. When I grew up everyone played everything.....soccer or football in the fall, baseball or track in the spring, basketball in the winter, skiing in the winter, hockey, tennis, golf....whatever. If it could be played we all wanted to play it and try it.
Now everyone feels like they need ti specialize at 7 and go full year round with club teams and specialized camps and this and that.
fuck off....can't be well rounded when hammered to a point on one side.

Don't worry, these are like small promotions, no one is gonna get paid a ton of money.
OK, a few people are gonna get paid a ton of money, but it's not like they're used as recruiting tools.
OK, so all the coaches admit they are recruiting tools, but at least the schools aren't paying them directly.
Next up, contracts.
After that, super league of 64 or something 'college teams'.
After that, disassociation with academics.

I thought the ‘evolution’ might have taken a decade or so to become complete.
I guess there isn’t even a single year of fat cat revenue to be jeopardized.
