What is there to the whole Chinese lab angle?
Is it just a matter of what wet market the scientists went shopping at, or is there more to it?

Good for you - if you truly feel it's good for you.
When I boycott someone or some thing, I try and figure out who else suffers directly and indirectly.
While my attitude may be fuck the Chinese government in regards to Covid, I also realize there are over a billion people living in China. Most of them are probably good people. I have no beef with the majority of Chinese citizens.
How would my AND OTHERS "boycotting" purchasing Chinese products affect them and do they deserve to be "punished" by me AND OTHERS? My answer is probably not.

I think I’m anti-vaxxer from now on.
I’m 4 full days removed from my second shot, and still feel weird. Headaches (when I don’t usually get them otherwise), soreness, general head/sinus/throat cold symptoms, stomach/digestive issues, just generally out of it. And that’s not even counting the fact I had to sleep all day Sunday and woke up with a fever/chills.
And on top of that, scared of needles either way, so one less poke or pokes is a good thing. (Seriously, my arm tensed up so much the lady poking me had to sit there and lecture me to try and relax. I’m not doing it on purpose, I swear!)
Selfishly, I dunno why I’d go through all this shit when there’s a good chance the actual virus exposure would yield no symptoms at all. At least at this point in my life. Same reason I don’t get the flu shot any more. Why knowingly subject myself to illness when I get through most flu seasons without even getting sick?
But I keep telling myself I didn’t do this for me, I did it for some greater good. Right? Right?

I think if I had contracted covid, I'd have been completely fine...But I'd hate to have been the person that passed it to a group of people where someone got very sick. Now I dont really have to worry about that and I'm two days away from a bar seat with no mask.

For anyone here who is still hesitant about getting the vaccine because they're concerned about long term complications, keep in mind the virus, like so many pathogens, does have long term effects.

This systematic review found that persistent COVID-19 symptoms were common, with 72.5% of patients reporting at least 1 symptom at 60 days or more after diagnosis, symptom onset, or hospitalization or at 30 days or more after recovery from acute illness or hospital discharge. This finding was consistent even among studies that followed up patients for almost 6 months,22,43 suggesting that symptoms may persist long after recovery among some patients....
The most frequently reported persistent symptoms were fatigue and shortness of breath, both of which can be debilitating. Atypical chest pain was reported in approximately 1 of 7 patients. Inability to concentrate, informally described as brain fog, was only examined in 4 studies8,18,21,42 and was experienced by approximately 1 in 4 patients. Other neurocognitive deficits had similar frequencies....
Raman et al37 reported tissue abnormalities in the lungs (60%), kidneys (29%), heart (26%), and liver (10%). Lu et al27 found that patients with COVID-19 were more likely to have brain abnormalities, including abnormalities in regions associated with loss of smell and memory, compared with healthy individuals. Puntmann et al35 reported that 78% of patients with COVID-19 had heart abnormalities, suggesting frequent myocardial inflammation.
Although most studies did not stratify outcomes by age, 30 of the 45 studies with age information reported mean or median ages younger than 60 years; in 14 studies, mean or median ages were 50 years or younger. This finding suggests that, among cases requiring hospitalization, younger age did not protect against prolonged symptoms.

Man it felt great saddling up to the bar maskless and ordering a Coors Light and a shot o jamo and watching women’s lacrosse, Cubs/Reds and some golf tournament in Texas that was suspended.

Honest question: if you had covid (and didn't die) do they recommend you still get vaccinated?
Oregon had to have 170k cases right?
You guys might be damn near at herd immunity at this point if 70%ish are vaccinated.
