Trump is corrupt and is corrupting the coronavirus politically.

But so is NBCNews...and so is "every news outlet trad has seen."

This SHOULDN'T be a partisan issue. It shouldn't even be a political issue.

But once again, I know how every person on this board is going to feel about this, about the government's response, about EVERYTHING, because we, as a society, are so fucking obsessed with and broken by politics that it's impossible for most people even to try to see beyond it.

Fucking Nobelprizewinningjagoff Paul Krugman literally cheering as the Dow crashed this week is case in point.

Sooooooo fucking broken.

I ain't worried, cuz less than a week ago:

"[W]hen you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that's a pretty good job we've done."

What a fucking hack.

Nick Bilton is part of the problem. "This time around, the president is proclaiming at his rallies that coronavirus is a “hoax” constructed by the Democrats."

That's just a bald-faced lie.

i actually thought the same thing for that particular example

i have no problem with his general premise

this, much like so much “news” has been corrupted by “alternative facts”

people across the globe have either lost, or never really had, their ability to think critically and objectively

"The People" finally got what they've wished for, a businessman to run the government, instead of a politician:

NOW you're upset? So, for the last nearly 5 years Trump has been twisting people's words and claiming they said things when they didn't and just making stuff up........NOW you're upset? His SecState won't even disavow that the virus epidemic is not a hoax (regardless of what Mulvaney said......Pompeo could have said "I don't know what Mulvaney said, but I don't believe that the virus is a hoax")

Why are you still defending the indefensible?

It was a madhouse at Costco yesterday where I live and we havent even had any cases here yet. The line to check out was through the entire length of the store.
Technically, Omaha and surrounding area (Camp Ashland) have the highest concentration of cases in the country -- possibly anywhere outside of Asia.
In an effort to remain positive and not freak out about Omaha's role in all of this, I am just going to go with "at least we know that there are experienced doctors here in town if someone does get this thing". UNMC runs some serious stuff through here.

We are scheduled to leave for a Caribbean cruise in about 4 weeks out of Miami. I am not a germ guy at all but I am starting to get a little anxious about this one.

So the local case was a housekeeping employee at the local casino/hotel. Pure community spread case. That traveller moved on to infect others. Not too mention other rooms he cleaned. Also, he attended 2 local basketball games in packed school gyms, he collapsed at the second game. Thats when he went to the hospital. If the R naught is 4+ as has been theorized then this thing is already everywhere. Excellent.
