Chiefs about to strike a deal for naming rights to Arrowhead Stadium. As far as I can tell, they are one of the last NFL teams to have a corporate sponsor for stadium.
But it’ll still always be Arrowhead.

Just like Sandstone.
Works for me. Keep up the amenities and keep the owners/players happy is all I care about.

Hopefully they talk to General Motors and name the place after a certain brand of muscle car...

If they do that, they need to put on a retractable roof and call it the Camerodome.

At one point they talked about a dome cover that could mechanically be shifted between Arrowhead and Kaufman.

Original rendering of the two stadiums had a rolling roof that could be positioned over each stadium.

If they passed that and built it, KC would have had so many more big events. Big bowl games. A Super Bowl or 2.
KC was ahead of its time with the multiple complexes in one area, would have been even cooler with a rolling roof.

Pat and Chiefs agreed on a 10-year deal? Wow.

Not just that, but he's adding it after this contract runs up. 12 year contract.
It has to be % of cap. Has to be if it's that long.

*counts on fingers* so my Pat jersey doesn't expire until 2032? Wow. This has to be the longest NFL contract, right? I can't remember of any contract over 7 years.

Good for Pat. And so smart to get it done prior to the start of whatever disjointed type of season is about to begin.
However much it's for, it's not enough.

Also salary cap may take hits if no fans for a while. Get those early numbers locked in then move to a % of the cap in a few. Steinberg probably played the situation perfect here.

I think previously Calvin Johnson had an 8 year deal with Detroit. Then retired halfway through it. I think that was the longest deal.

Just saw a funny tweet.
Mahomes became so good at football he got a baseball contract.

Stand correct. Donovan McNabb had previous longest contract.
At one point, was under contract for 12 years.
