Dinner went pretty well. Then we go to this next joint for another drink.

Next joint has this band that’s surprisingly good. They bust into this Herbie Hancock tune, just grooving way hard on a dancey arrangement of chameleon, and I’m digging.

I ask if she wants to dance. She gets kinda disinterested. I ask if she wants to do a shot then dance. Even more disinterest.

The night finally crashed and burned when I said I liked the song and she said she just wished they’d finally start singing. And to think she talked herself up as cultured.

The foxy redhead bartender says she’s digging the chameleon too, and compliments me for helping her remember the name of the tune.

Now, that’s a unique dynamic about hanging out with chicks. If a guy’s with a chick, all the other chicks are suddenly that much more interested in the guy. But if the chick with a guy sees another chick start talking with the guy, the chick can get catty real quick.

Anywho, just stopped back by here to see if anyone wants to be my wingman tomorrow night and go hit on that bartender chick.

But for tonight, think imma just head home and do a couple bong rips and put on some more Herbie Hancock.
