I hope Al Horford has some crazy 30 point throwback nights during these playoffs.

Now they have ads half screen while players are shooting free throws.
Great.

Playoff ball, to me, is just way better than your average regular season game on TNT.
They actually try.

My not so worthless opinion is first round series should be best of 5 and not 7 games.
Let's see how many - hopefully not any - players will get injured in what will inevitably be a worthless game 4 (or 5).

I agree.
I think often times the top seeds are just that much better.

Grimes. Onions.
* Edit.
Meaningless FT in hindsight.

5 points, 1-4 FG. 1 assist, 3 TOs.
It’s a Grimes at KU stat line!

Last night proved game 1s of a series can be awfully fun and exciting. Two years ago I never would have thought the Kings would be a more exciting team to watch than the Warriors in 2023.
That being said, as great as the Kings played, my 89 year old mother isn't much worse of a defender than some of the Warriors players were last night.
P.S.

Without looking at the lines and nor looking to see which players are/aren't playing - my worthless predictions for today.....
Lakers win by 5 (partially because Brooks or someone else on the Grizz looses his cool?) or Grizz win by 4 (partially because someone of substance on the Lakers gets injured?).
I'll go with Lakers by 5.
Bucks by 9 over the Heat.
Suns by 7 over the Clippers - assuming George isn't playing.
Nuggets by 5 over the TWolves.
I would like to see Braun average 20/10 for the series and the TWolves win the series.
Neither of which I expect to happen.

Morant and Giannis?
Rough city for the playoffs.

Yes, those two and Herro broke his hand.
Looked like A.D. was screwed with his shoulder/arm. Thankfully for him and Lakers fans he is ok but I fully expect him to get injured at some point.
I have to wonder what if anything the NBA is going to do in the off-season. A rule is a rule (and despite it being what I feel is a bad one - players are taking advantage of it) but this is a rule that is getting players injured.

Russ had himself one of the greatest if not the greatest 3-19 night/s an NBA player ever had.
Let's see.......
This was interesting.
Closed out his game with this.
randy - Despite the caption on the tweet, I'm not calling it a game winning block.

Looks like the Nets are done. Well, at least J.V. has SOME job security for a while.
Big question is, are the Warriors done?

The Nets defense had Embiid and the 76ers tied in knots the first half... I didn't watch the 2nd half, dammit.
