In other news, I like this thing that my company's parent company is doing: https://www.fox19.com/2021/06/03/kroger ... employees/

Anyone who got vaccinated at a Kroger-owned store, in addition to any Kroger employees that got vaccinated anywhere, can win a million bucks (5 chances) or free groceries for a year (50 chances). That's in addition to the 100 bucks given to every employee who gets vaccinated (up to a 50 million dollar investment there).

It is you dolt.
It’s a health decision dumbass.
You really shouldn't be calling people dumb...
Hey, listen, if you want to side with the MICH's and Lobby's of the world be my guest. You so much closer to a trumper than you want to admit.

The argument over health/medical decision really is pretty trivial. It's not exactly a pro life/pro choice difference; it's more semantics.

Right, but, its also very simple.

Cascadia just took his stand, wont admit hes wrong and is now doing his puffed chest, "you're trumper, dumbass, pyscho, (insert insult here) schtick because thats really all he's got.

Eating an apple and deciding to walk more = health decision

Going to the doc/pharm/wherever filling out medical history, waivers, yadda yadda, getting injected an emergency authorized vaccine for the greater good of the country = medical decision.

i don't care who gets vaccinated. i'm vaccinated. that's all that matters.

i am a little perturbed at all these incentives being offered nowadays. i didn't get entered into a lottery. i didn't get free tickets to a mlb game. win a cruise. no gift cards. i did what i was told, when i was told. i didn't get any freebies.

i did it because i always do the right thing.

I'm trying to be kind and subtle with my response.
How can you not care who gets vaccinated - if and when it affects you? You don't think it has direct and indirect affects on you?

My apology to Mjl but I happen to agree with you on the "incentives" and I might go so far as to call them bribes.
Sorry but cynical me can't help but wonder if they are truly good intentioned or mostly just major P.R. ploys.

I get what Mich is saying, I saw on the news last night that some lady in OP won $40k for getting a COVID shot. Sh$t, I could use $40k. And I got vaccinated when I was supposed to, makes me think I should have waited another month or so.

The fact is that $10mm or whatever spent on a lottery is more efficient spend than, say, ad campaigns or whatnot. Gets needles in arms, and a ton of free publicity.

I agree. Whatever you want to call it, bribe, PR, incentives, etc., if it gets people vaccinated, then we all win.

It also gets close to this thing where some people automatically think when someone else gets something then the first person is getting screwed over.

We should make bumper stickers.

“I got the covid vaccine and all they gave me for doing it was a microchip”

Right?

Shot one, young curvy nurse babe, successfully made the right amount of small talk to distract from my fear of needles.

Shot two, little old white haired lady who acted like I needed to stop being a scaredy cat about it, but pretty sure she was still dtf

Of course I can, but your comment made it seem as if the lab leak was solely QAnon conspiracy fodder....it's not and it has legs on both sides.

The conspiracy theorists, like they almost always do, have put themselves into another dilemma.

Now that they are going down this lab leak rabbit hole using ancient texts and photoshop to decipher Fauci's emails, they now will have to admit that COVID-19 is actually real and a health threat.

It's rough out there.

the leak isn’t QAnon, but the idea that it was engineered definitely is

that’s a substantial difference

it’s plausible, though unlikely based on the available facts, that the virus “escaped” from a lab. it remains the most likely scenario, that the pandemic is the result of zoonotic crossover stemming from the cultural practice of wet markets

we’ll likely never know for certain, unfortunately
