I heard yesterday the Dow is up 7500 points since Biden was elected.
In other news:
Most large cannabis multi-state operators were notably higher Wednesday after Vice President Kamala Harris selected Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a noted marijuana reform supporter, as her running mate for the Democratic presidential ticket.
In May 2023, Walz signed into law an adult-use marijuana bill that also expunged non-violent cannabis convictions. Sales in the state are expected to begin in Q1 2025...

I would say the more sound view is that there is much more noise than signal in using market performance as a proxy for a President's performance. BUT, if that's the exercise, then we should be grounded in the facts!

It's been legal here for about a year. There are only two dispensaries, both on Reservations. I'm told you can buy edibles because of some loophole in the law. I know the legislature is trying to come up with an equitable method of distributing licenses.Shirley wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 1:43 pmI heard yesterday the Dow is up 7500 points since Biden was elected.

Re: 2024
Seems like Harris made the choice because she likes the person and his fit in her administration and not because of what state they represented, which is great to me. It shows that she is building her team to succeed while in office, not just to try to get into office.TDub wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 10:54 ambut was he an astronaut?

And, and, and, I really, really like Shapiro.

While bland, low risk. Not Jewish. Not Gay. Not too young. Not too old. "Moderate" Democrat.
Middle America, average guy, military background.
Kamala the highlight of the ticket.
All makes sense to me.
i should’ve said i don’t agree, not that i don’t get it. i understand the strategy
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
