I also did not know how high-energy Walz is.KUTradition wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 8:28 amit absolutely makes sensejfish26 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 8:23 amI have read suggestions also - which make sense, but hey, confirmation bias alert - that Shapiro can do more good in Pennsylvania (over the next three months) as the governor than as a campaigning candidate.KUTradition wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 8:37 pm i gotta admit, i was selling Walz short
the choice has grown on me quite a bit
but, i’ve also come around to Walz regardless of Shapiro. Pete woulda still been my choice, but Walz is a close second
there’s a whole lot about him (and his legislative record) that i was previously unaware of that i really, really like…specifically how his view on gun rights has changed, and the related actions he’s taken
he reeks of integrity (not that Shapiro doesn’t)
And just how effective a communicator he is - as Lawrence O'Donnell pointed out well on his show last night, Walz managed in one sound bite to remind voters of BOTH (1) the drop in violent crime rate under Biden/Harris as compared with Trump, and (2) Trump's own criminality.
