More evidence that religious threads make you dum
Re: More evidence that religious threads make you dum
Just catching up, I'm fully in support of Trad posting that, I just dont agree with his point of view. And imo its important for people to be uncomfortable and offended rather than just saying stop talking about it. That's what talking is for...voicing opinions from every weird ass wavelength of the rainbow.
So you do you Trad.
You do you illy.

99's meaningless take.
Traddie is probably a good dude. The post was in poor taste. It's never good or funny to make fun of a mom who's daughter got seriously hurt.
Illy is probably a good dude. He needs to learn that sometimes, just shut up and let it go.

"Monsignor Jeffrey Burrill has resigned from his position as general secretary of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) after a conservative Catholic website obtained data from Grindr and found out that he was likely having sex with men for years.
Burrill, a priest from Wisconsin, worked for the USCCB since 2016 and was elected general secretary last year. USCCB is a Catholic organization made up of members of the Church’s hierarchy and opposes LGBTQ equality. It has worked against the development of an LGBTQ suicide hotline, tried to stop same-sex couples from adopting children, repeatedly criticized President Joe Biden for supporting LGBTQ rights, and supported anti-trans legislation this year."

What happened to "my body, my choice"?
The hokey performances of these grifters is so lame. Crazy how many people eat this shit up.
Re: More evidence that religious threads make you dum
He gave them a choice to go to the church down the street...
Guys, i think we are close to entering the stage of acceptance that those of us who choose to do so will need to get a yearly covid shot. The virus is circulating on such a large scale that total eradication is beggining to seem unlikely. We'd need 80-90% of the entire world to all be vaccinated in a similar window of time to have a chance for full eradication. That's just not going to happen it doesn't appear.
The good news is that the vaccine keeps almost everyone from dying from covid. So i will get the shot yearly and continue on about my life.
Re: More evidence that religious threads make you dum
Do you think these "my body, my choice" people would be OK if the government mandated covid vaccines and said "well, you're free to go to the country next door but if you don't get the covid vaccine I am kicking you out?" No, obviously not. And isn't "if you wear a mask then you are not welcome here" an example of the cancel culture that these same people whine about all the time? Just more examples of the constant hypocrisy.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 9:50 amHe gave them a choice to go to the church down the street...

I am with you my man. Lots of hypocrisy surrounding the entire covid situation.twocoach wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 10:32 amDo you think these "my body, my choice" people would be OK if the government mandated covid vaccines and said "well, you're free to go to the country next door but if you don't get the covid vaccine I am kicking you out?" Re: More evidence that religious threads make you dum
All we need is for Nancy Pelosi to come out and say that they should not get a vaccine or wear a mask and they'd be lining up to do the exact opposite of whatever Dems instructed them to do.
The 2 sides of our country absolutely hate each other. It will not end anytime soon. And it sounds crazy, but some sort of civil war during our lifetimes wouldn't shock me.
