I almost ran over a possum last night. Dumb fucker in the middle of the road, it didn’t even know a steel tank with headlights was headed at it going 40.

Slow, ugly, no ability to run or fight. Can eat anything and not get sick, immune to rattlesnake bites and black widow bites. Also wonderfully helpful with appetite for ticks. Nature eh? I still hate them.

Apparently you can eat Buckeyes if you spend days leeching out the toxins.

Woodson was awesome. Griese? Ugh.
yeah, any good faith he earned at Michigan is completely offset by the fact he played for the donkos.

bonus fact: one time I took him fishing LOL

Oregon, Cal, Washington, and Arizona state may disagree.
The mighty Big 12 has been a solid 1-5 in Bowl games. Granted, the 5 teams that lost were probably all dogs.

I really enjoyed attending the Rose Bowl yesterday. Exciting game and great outcome.

The Big 12 had to face the no. 1 team, the no. 5 team, the no. 11 team, the no. 15 team, and the no. 23 team.

The Pac 12 faced the no. 8 team, the no. 16 team and the no. 19 team.

The Big 12 would win these matchups at least 4-2.

OU v Oregon.
Baylor v Utah.
Texas v USC.
OSU v Washington.
ksu v Cal.
ISU v ASU.

No one has called the Big 12 mighty. They were clearly down quite a bit from BIG and SEC, but you do you.

They played the best team, the 5th best team, an option offense that is always a bitch to prepare for, a big mismatch for ISU to play Notre Dame, and oSu losing a close one without their QB and WR that started the year for them. Tough matchups across the board. I bet against every Big 12 team this year in the bowls because they were that bad of matchups.

Easily 4-2. Bowl games all about matchups. And Big 12 had some shitty matchups. From clear talent standpoints and scheme standpoints.

I don't want the Big 12 to be down ( unless the angle is having some easier wins next season to maybe sniff bowl eligibility ).

Yeah, I'd rather not play against 9 Top 25 teams in any of the handful of years Les is trying to rebuild this.

For sure. I also don't think bowl performance has much stock in actual conference performance. Big 12 will still have 5-6 teams in the Top 25 every year. Regardless if they go 1-5 in the bowls.

KU proved they could play with Tech, WVU and even Texas. Now you have to overtake Tech, WVU and compete more regularly with Texas, OU, oSu and others to be a consistent good program. Should be fun to see if Les can do it (I think he can around year 3-4)

I spent several days with Arizona State's players/personnel last year before the Las Vegas Bowl. There have always been rumors that programs don't take the Bowl Games seriously, and my anecdote would confirm that. Perhaps it was just the locale.

Yeah bowl games (Unless New Years games, BCS, Playoff) are all about traveling to a new place, all the stuff that comes with it and getting younger players reps at practice. Starters rarely practice during the bowl period. Programs use the extra practices for the young guys that they can't get during spring/fall camp.

So many rumblings that the Big 12 may lose either Riley or Rhule to the NFL.

Rhule stands in KU's way more than Riley does, so go ahead and get him out of here!

CNB: You are 22 years old. You are about to play your last football game in your life; no plans to play professionally. You are in Las Vegas with all that is waiting for you. You are single.

What are you going to do?

I would do what the majority of the Arizona State and Fresno State players did and not feel the least bit bad about it.

If I was N'Keal Harry, I'd do what he did and not play in the game. Hell, if I had any chance at the NFL, I wouldn't play.

Bowl games are fun for fans and some use them for bragging rights, but the reality is that they are not a great measuring stick for what a team was that season, save for a select handful of games.

How the heck did Boston College get a bowl game? You loose to KU in football and you should be automatically ineligible.
