Bobby was mostly terrible. But I don’t know how you get Rice into this game.
If Bill has slow played him until now, that’s on Bill. But, seems Rice has had some unfortunate setbacks.

Yeah, he’s right.
Regulation was a lot on Dajuan, then Bill. OT was a lot on Bill, and then a little on dajuan.

Sure would be nice if we had a McDonald All American wing…oh wait…Rice just wasting on the bench.
No Doubt…and with Bill only playing 7 unless there’s an injury or foul trouble, our bench’s confidence is for shit when they get into the game.
Then they get yanked at first mistake.

Three starters out. KJ especially. Then Self imploded. Own-goal.

Sure would be nice if we didn't miss 10 free throws and 23 threes, too.
I think that this is the correct take.

Mj doesn't play cause he isn't very good. I predicted that. There is a difference between being a big strong athletic guard and being an effective basketball player.
Once mj rice learns to be an effective basketball player, that big strong athletic frame will be a huge asset. But not before then

One thing Bill is going to realize after tonight is that he has to develop this team more for nights like this. Although rare, the lack of preparation cost them a win.

I agree; the foul shooting really hurt
and the 23-3’s misses? We live and die on those especially when we can’t get the running/fast break rolling.
and
Pet & Yas were fine? Ok? That’s pretty much their rolls isn’t it? other than a huge put back again NCST and the other going off against a mid-major.. what more do you expect from those two.
Rice though IMO needs more court time. He to me with our 4 out and 1 sorta big in could be developed to be our 6 man off the bench. His potential is higher than the other two.. it would be great to have something like that in March.

When was the last time we had 3 starters foul out?

KU played great defense in the second half and would have won comfortably hitting some open shots and FTs. But what is not acceptable is for fans to rush the court any time and especially in a contested situation. WTF? They escaped and basically acted like they had dominated. Embarrassing. Refs lost control and the timekeeper was off all night.

It's January 17th; the MJ Rice you see now will be what you will continue to see for the rest of this season...he's not getting more minutes...hopefully he doesn't sulk and he continues to make himself & his teammates better in practice.

Don’t care about the timeout as much.
But those 2 end game situations, where Bill is great, was Scott Drew level stuff.
Just terrible.
Whoa, that’s low.

Yeah that’s probably the case…
I am still holding on for that possible RM magic mid-Feb debut of 2022 to infect the play of MJR in say late January/Feb 2023 and see the Hawks ride that lighting again.

Other than taking a beating from my tater son in law, I'm not too worried about this one. We missed a lot of wide open shots, and more free throws than usual.

We clanked endless threes.
Having three starters foul out from suspect calls didn’t help.
This team was bound to loose but I don’t think ksu is a team that causes us matchup problems — this is a team our squad should on most days handle easily.

Bill will always only go 8-deep, max, no matter how stacked we think the roster is.
He has proven that when he feels he has more players that can give good minutes that he plays them.
