It's her choice and, as for the rest of us, it is a hell of a lot better than the opposite which is the vast amount of people that come to work or go in crowded public places with the flu.

Well, because the vaccine doesn't work very well against the new variants apparently.

The meltdown is going to be REAL when the mask mandates come back all because of DELTA spreading due to people not getting vaccinated.

I am sure you are right.

There are about 20 states who likely won't bring back mask mandates, but i expect many businesses will bring them back for employees and customers (as they should if that's what they want to do).

To be fair, I wasn’t shaming her for wearing the mask. I was shaming her for the blatant virtue signaling in church.

A woman at Quik Trip this morning (where no masks are required) was wearing a mask, but below her nose.

I'm really not trying to be an asshole, but...I think I can probably guess a lot of things about her.

Someone close to me was...not a Covid-denier, necessarily, but definitely the "the media is making it seem worse than it is" type.

Eight months after having Covid, he still can't really taste or smell.

Did this person make a comment to someone else about not wearing a mask or do anything to draw a attention to their own wearing of a mask (besides having it on)? Did she announce that she wasn't ill or didn't have a medical condition that made her anxious about still getting covid and was doing it just to look more responsible than others? Probably not.

Which means that you are projecting your own feelings about her onto her. You have zero clue why she is wearing a mask. People get summer colds; two people in our house have already had them since mask mandates were eliminated here. People have lung issues or kids at home who are vulnerable. You have no idea why she is wearing a mask but you went ahead and assumed the worst.

"I get it, do whatever you want, makes no difference to me...but...." You should have just stopped after "makes no difference to me."
