People complain of "government price controls", but we already have "price controls", by a very small number of co.s with huge lobbying budget$.

...The U.S. grocery sector—dominated by Kroger, Walmart, and a handful of other major companies—profited hugely during the Covid-19 pandemic as corporate giants exploited supply chain disruptions to aggressively jack up prices.

"The grocery industry, as represented by four of its largest players, became more profitable in the pandemic, and it has stayed that way for a couple of years at least," The Financial Timesnoted Monday. "It is a good guess that price increases in excess of cost increases have played a role in this." ...

Trump has never planned to keep any of the promises he has made.

He has an extensive back record on this.

Imagine running for 5th Grade President, and running on a pro-prayer-in-schools platform because you are not generally popular and need the support of the rabid Jesus kids (who represent maybe 1/4 of the class, half of your base).

For broadly similar reasons, you have made googly-eyes at eliminating recess, and tried to game the rules a little bit by sucking up to the school office - their help printing flyers is a real advantage.

Only it becomes apparent that your cobbled-together cabal of various fringe groups isn't gonna do it; the normal kids, who represent more than half the class, just want normal things: longer passing periods, no homework the night before tests, and recess.

And so, having the mental faculties of a 5th grader, you throw those rabid Jesus kids under the bus.

Gee, who would have guessed what would happen after Trump reduced FDA regulations in pork slaughterhouses...nine dead, 57 hospitalized and counting.

Ok, but how many of the dead and sick are, ah, eligible voters?

Just trying to figure out how much, according to some, I'm supposed to care.

He came up with the very best healthcare plan ever in just two weeks.
I think it is called dying.

More importantly, how many were old or fat so our resident mouth breathers can say "meh, they were going to die soon anyways"?

OK i'm waiting for a clear laid out policy plan - in depth platform with specifics on issues - and still nothing from Harris and Walz.

They are going to do this eventually right?
Otherwise they will not get my vote -- the anything but Trump won't cut it.

I think this is a trumped-up talking point. Harris-Walz have offered detailed policy proposals and positions over the last several weeks.

What exactly are you expecting? What would be satisfactory, that is reasonable to provide that hasn’t been provided?
