"I never came into this league to be a champion," James said.
Lol, we know.

Was LeBron James on 9/18/20 the same guy who said, “I have short goals – to get better every day, to help my teammates every day – but my only ultimate goal is to win an NBA championship. It’s all that matters. I dream about it. I dream about it all the time, how it would look, how it would feel. It would be so amazing.”

Whatever he came to do, he has pretty much done it all. He is a top 5 player of all time. Top 2 or 3 in the eyes of many/most people. And he is not done. Probably has 5 more years left in him.

I have seen LeBron play in person many times but my favorite LeBron memory happened this night.
Dude was clearly super HYPED - and then went home a loser.
I saw Jayhawkers at Lied Center. The film started way late because people were showing up late at the box office and they wanted to wait til everyone was in. Wilmott came out several times to ask for patience but 35 minutes later it was getting old and the crowd got restless and started booing so they finally started the movie. It was a good movie and Justin played it well for an amateur actor. Basketball-wise, however, he was only a shadow of the real Dipper.

Wilt holds 72 NBA records. I am unable to find an actual list of how many Lebron has. One site lists 33 but when you look at them many of those are "one of only five players to..." type of stats or achievements for his age. Lebron's team impact and work ethic are unquestioned. No contest on championships. Wilt was unable to influence management on roster make-up and didn't play on great teams or on TV until he was old and a mere shadow of his prime. Wilt is often overlooked because of when he played but athletically he certainly does not take a back seat to MJ or Lebron.

"but athletically he certainly does not take a back seat to MJ or Lebron."
No.
I'd comfortably rank him as a better athlete than both.

And considerably larger than both, too

I mix that in with athleticism.

7’8” wingspan deserves its own shoutout.
And I think I’ve shared this story, and maybe even I or someone else shared the vid, but there’s this vid about playing against Wilt. The other team’s big man was like 6’10” 245, no small dude himself. His coach told him to really go rough on Wilt, play him as physical as possible, who cares if he’s bigger, go hard right at him and try to get under his skin.
Dude was playing physical, and thought he was doing a good job, until Wilt got fed up and just picked him up with one arm and moved him outta the way. Wilt got T’d up, but also had the reverse effect of getting under the other guy’s skin, dude realized he couldn’t out-physical a guy who just tossed him like a rag doll with one arm.
