Trumps misstep in Syria may be enough to push republicans to break ranks and impeach.

Get him out of office in time for 1 of them to run against whoever the Dems pick. Might be a win win for everyone.

You’re right. They need to impeach and remove before 2020. Because I don’t think any of that group of 10 on the stage the other night can beat dt in a general election.

No way Trump would beat Pete

Unfortunately Pete stands no chance of getting his parties nomination. He ain’t nuts enough.

He gotta get crazier if he wants to stand a chance. He’s too normal.

No way Trump would beat Hillary - a year before the 2016 election.
Hillary > Pete. By a lot.

If by him being a male and having a husband you mean he's "too normal". Ummmm.
You'll have to ask voters other than me if that's "too normal".

Most nobody gives a shit anymore what goes on behind the bedroom door. Yes there are a few still holding on to old prejudices. But most have moved on.

Most folks are eager to move on from the dt regime. Very eager. Unfortunately our options are sad.

He's polling right around where Obama and Bill Clinton were at the same time. He's rising and he's raising a shitload of money. He's third in at least one of the prediction markets (predictit.org).
I think he will be the nominee.

The first statement - that's certainly not something I said or believed.
The second - how so? He's far more likeable and doesn't have the baggage.

First statement was said because I (and my guess is also the majority of the people in the country who don't like Donald Trump) never thought Hillary would/could lose to Donald Trump.
Second statement was said because I believe Mayor Pete couldn't sniff Hillary's jock. While not likable and with baggage, Hillary would very likely be the strongest candidate the Dems would have today. At least stronger than Mayor Pete. By a lot.

...and she'd still be unelectable.

How sad is it that the 2 best people we can come up with to run our country are Hillary and Donald. That's pathetic.

It should be continually brought up that Hillary DID get more votes (about 3 million more, about 2.5% more). There were about 80k votes in some key locations which made a difference among 130 million cast! I don't think that will be a problem this time around. The anti-Trump voters are highly motivated and I think that there are more of them than the motivated Trump-base.

Define stronger candidate. If you mean ready to govern from day 1, ok, sure. If you mean greater chance of being elected, no way. She was a joke of a candidate, playing to whatever focus groups said. It was awful. Pete is serious and intelligent. The only thing that could hold him back is if he listens to the establishment and political insiders too much.

In response I am simply going to say I respect you and your opinion despite my not agreeing with you. No use in our going on and on back and forth.
What I think we do agree on is that hopefully someone steps up and the Dems choose that person who not only can, but will, defeat Donald Trump. Assuming he's the Republican candidate in 2020.

You can impeach him without removing him from office. The GOP and their supporters seem to have forgotten this. Impeachment on it's own is simply a formal notation of a reprimand.

Your viewpoints are so far to the right that there is no possible Dem candidate that could be offered that you would approve of. It's not a knock on your viewpoints, just a description of the traits. Who you feel is a good, worthy Dem is pretty much irrelevant. What they are trying to accomplish doesn't appeal to you.

I'd take all of the Top 8 or so Dem candidates over either Clinton or Trump. Clinton has too much baggage and would lead to a revolt. Trump is an incompetent, dangerous grifter.

I would probably agree. Although I'm not so sure about Warren. Other than her and Beto I don't hate any of the Dems.
