yeah, curious.

has anyone seen it? What kinda tone does it take? Like is it geared toward making some appeal to the conservative media die hards?

I hope it's more reconciling, instead of just being angry about being constantly told to be angry at everything

Lulz. Conservatives are angry? Have you read most of the posts made by Libs around here the past four years?!?

is there any way to measure which side is angrier? Or rather, which side uses anger as some sort of mechanism?

when my dad asks what my beef is with Fox News, I reply that I like my news to be reported without shouting about it.

compare the tone and temperament on Fox News to, say, NPR.

Generally speaking, yes, I believe Conservatives tend to be angrier people. Sometimes justifiable, sometimes not.
Just my opinion.
Honest question - Do you not feel the anger coming from the Liberals "around here" (and not "around here") for the past 4 years is justifiable?

It irks me to no end, and I am highly offended by the notion that there is an impression that NPR "belongs to a side". Fox clearly does. MSNBC's commentary section clearly has a trend. NPR on the other hand is about as objective as one could get. Just because more people with a liberal point of view listen to NPR does not automatically make the news outlet biased. This is a giant trap that the CONServatives have laid out and one that liberals are only too eager to fall into.

This is in regard to content. However, no one can match Fox News for the tone and temperament - when was the last time any other news outlet was cheerleading an armed mob?

When was the last time a bunch of liberals armed themselves with military-style rifles and showed up in public? 1812?

Why? Because your candidate lost the election? It happens to one side or the other every four years, yet Libs derided Cons through two rounds of BO. If it is justifiable on one side, it is for the other.

These are all outstanding questions that have not been answered, and certainly not answered by simply responding, “because your candidate lost.”

Im not sure I fully understand your post.
When you say "your candidate lost the election" - are you speaking to me directly or in general?
If me, which candidate would that be? I ask because I didn't vote for a Presidential candidate in 2016.
I didn't want Hillary Clinton nor Donald Trump to be my President.

Libs derided cons through BO? Did you mean it the other way around or is that what you really meant? Either way, I agree with you when you say, "If it is justifiable on one side, it is for the other".

As an Independent voter, it's easy for me to say it CAN be but isn't always is justifiable for either "side".
It's up to others to ultimately decide what should and shouldn't cause them anger.
I can only "suggest" how others should feel.

The Left has their own way. They have created a culture where it is no longer safe to joke about, much less laugh about, almost anything. They passive-aggressively shame people for being proud of their heritage, for holding to religious faith, for pointing out the obvious fact that they own and control the media narrative, which makes pinpointing the truth a near impossibility anymore. I could go on and on, but you’re not going to own what I’ve said thus far, so there’s little point.

I don’t condone the protesters’ showing up with guns, by the way. I support their right to protest and their right to peaceable assembly. I feel their frustration and hopelessness as the economy crumbles and politicians play power and control games with what’s left of any shred of their hope for a future, so I understand their anger, but I don’t agree with the threat of unprovoked violence.

It sounds like we mostly agree, then. Neither candidate was my first choice; I chose the lesser of the evils. People get upset when they don’t get their way, and everybody gets a turn on the unpleasant side of that equation sooner or later.

“The Left has their own way. They have created a culture where it is no longer safe to joke about, much less laugh about, almost anything.“

Seriously?

You realize the left has a de facto monopoly on humor, right?

The right has...Dennis Miller? And I’m not even sure he’s funny.

Yes, conservatives have become more and more mean, and even more so after Dear Leader was elected.

It is all working out exactly the way that they intended.

I have seen multiple interviews with comedians across the spectrum who complain about how hard it is to come up with jokes that won’t get them blacklisted. If it isn’t lampooning straight, White, Christian, conservative males, it’s not okay. I see the difference from ten years ago when I showed humorous video clips in my classes to today. Ten years ago, kids were laughing and suggesting other ones that I could use; today, they sit in near silence, looking at each other out of the corners of their eyes for some indication that laughing won’t make them guilty of thought crime. It is truly sad.

Cornered market on funny? My rendition of late-night “comedy”:

Trevor Noah: Donald Trump is fat, orange, and stupid.
Jimmy Fallon: Donald Trump is stupid, fat, and orange.
Jimmy Kimmel: Donald Trump is orange, stupid, and fat.
Bill Maher: Donald Trump is a stupid, orange, fat f*ck.

Gold, Jerry; gold, I tell ya!
