To me it's a combination of "mah guns" and "owning libs". The racial makeup of protesters has always been varied. None of the people who were shot were black.
This argument reads more like a "what a conservative thinks a dem thinks" than it is anything supported by any tangible information. It just doesn't make much sense.

Why is that a bad thing? People shouldn't be attacking police of any kind.

Well of course they shouldn’t.
But there’s already laws against that.
What’s the end game with this? Make the charges federal? Let Bill Barr pick and choose? Where’s all the small gummint conservatives to lament the exercise in federal overreach?

That's the argument people use to say there shouldn't be hate crimes.

But but but I need a gun for protection.
How did that work out for Kenneth Walker and Breonna Taylor?

“due to limited markings of comparative value,” the 9-mm bullet that hit and exited Mattingly was neither “identified nor eliminated as having been fired” from Walker’s gun.
I would like to see a diagram of where the officers were standing. Seems unlikely 1 of the cops shot the other cop with the first shot fired.

and how would you feel if that was the strongest piece of evidence cops had to charge you with attempted murder?

and I too would like to see that diagram.
But they haven’t exactly been forthcoming with the facts.

The burden of proof is higher for the prosecution than for defense for a reason.

The BLM guy who shot first in Kenosha was charged with some small charges. This will only further give an excuse for Kyle claiming self-defense. Also, Illinois is not charging Rittenhouse with anything. As I said before, he's going to walk out of this without any major issues.

I hope Kyle is paroled in time to see universal health care for his shooting victims.
