I think he wants to stay on the Lakers.
If he stayed with the Lakers (if the Lakers want/ed him to stay) he would probably not get paid a whole lot more than the minimum. I think last season he made "only" about 2.5 million.
If the Lakers don't want him to stay, I don't understand why he wouldn't want to jump at the Heat's offer unless he (and his agent) think some other contender is going to give him something considerably better. He supposedly has a house in the Miami area. ("Investment"?).
What is the current market value for a guy who averaged 6.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game last season?

He and Marcus being in the same city is a big deal to them. He is also viewed very favorably by Lebron and AD. So he may take less to take a run at a championship and be close to his bro.

Not saying your post isn't true but......
During the season they have different schedules. Much if not most of the time they are not in the same city.
During the offseason they can have their together time in whatever city they choose.
I won't fault Markieff for whatever he decides unless he decides to play for a shit team for very little more money than he would get in LA (if the Lakers want/ed him) or Miami.

Don't they share basically everything, including houses and bank accounts? Being in different cities a good majority of the season, I think that would be even more reason to be in the same city for brothers that seem as close as they are. Get as many days as possible together. If it's only 30 days between October and May that they are together, that's still 30 more than if they lived on complete opposite sides of the country.
They have had nice, long careers. I don't see an extra million being enough to pull him away from his brother AND a chance at a title.

Lol, they refer to Svi as a forward who will provide length. That the same T-Rex Svi we're talking about?

They're going to be very good. Lowry Butler and Bam are a dynamic trio.

I have to figure the Bucks, Heat, and Nets are the 3 best teams in the East.
After that, I'm guessing the 76ers, Hawks, Celtics, Bulls, Knicks, Pacers, Hornets will take the rest of the playoff spots.
In the West, I'm going to say the Lakers and Suns are the two best teams with the Jazz, Nuggets, Clippers, Mavs, Warriors, Blazers, and I have no clue what other 2 teams will make the playoffs.
Back to Jayhawks....
Dok and Marcus had nice games yesterday.
Dok with 8 points, 14 rebounds and 2 blocks and Marcus with 10 points, 5 steals, 3 rebounds, 2 assists.

So I thought that you could only play 4 years in Summer league which makes you wonder how Tarik still has eligibility. Frank and Wayne have to be getting close, too.

If that doesn't get him at least a two way contract, there's no reason to keep having summer league.

I think they updated the box score so he actually had 6 steals in that game
