"Not if JD6 came back without much rust."
Big if there though.
He struggled pretty hard right after he came back last year.

He was pretty bad last year when he came back.

Yes, if there's truth to this, then I do not like Jalon Daniels.
But we have no idea.
I've been guessing this is part of it for a while.
That said, back issues are real.
And to old ball's 'we might be better with Bean at this point'...i get the thought, but no way. Not if JD6 came back without much rust.
well, that's the point here. he's going to be rusty.

that would seem to make sense. But you still go with your best option if he's available.

If Bean goes on the road to Ames and gets a W, i'm not taking the football from him rest of season no matter Jalon's health.

In the event the conjecture in this thread holds true, will KU be able to cover JDs NIL demand?

That's a question for David Booth.

ISU is interesting.
A close win vs Oklahoma State and easier wins v Baylor, Cincy and TCU.
But a blow out loss at Oklahoma.

Jason Bean has the 10th most career passing yards at Kansas.
If he starts the rest of the season, and the bowl game, he could sneak into the top 5.

I’ll be happy for him if that happens. My primary concern is wins. I would argue that we would have had a bowl win last year without the ball in his hands at crunch time, as well as one at OSU. Might have even made a game of it vs. Texas. Not blaming him, but we’d be a better team with Daniels.

And I will endlessly argue the loss at OSU wasn’t on Bean.
Endlessly.
Because I have the numbers to prove it and you have stories about your son and eye test and vague lacking leadership comments.
Daniels had one game in his career statistically better than Beans OSU so you would be going against statistics to assume he’d have done better.
Step up defense. Don’t give 550 plus yards away.
Step up refs. Call the blatant offsides.

His stats in that game were flawless through a half+one drive, no doubt.
And that’s all I’m going to say about that game.
