Eh, no.

I just honestly don't see how it would change what you claim that it would change. Then we'd just have a President that 15% of the country's eligible voters chose instead of the 27% that voted for Trump. I dont see where that creates a better system.

Don't worry. God is going to protect them. They're good.

I’m very interested in Psych and Mich’s take on the disclaimer and Hillary’s response. She said that if you need to sign a waiver to go to a rally you shouldn’t go.

So all the “open now” crowd: what is your position on the disclaimer? Do you think it’s needed? If it’s a hoax then why the disclaimer? Put your money where your mouth is, as you say.

I would buy Psych an Uber to and from Tulsa if he promises to go to the crowded rally and not wear a mask and closely hug his fellow “open” lovers. The economy needs to open up. This is Psych’s chance.

Are any people who want to attend the rally complaining about signing the waiver? If not, then who fucking cares.

You're missing the point entirely. Trump is selling the virus as a dem/media fueled hoax and that we should have everyone go out there and "take one for the team" to get the economy (AKA his campaign) back on track.

If that's true then why the need for the legal protection?

No I am not missing the point.

You're missing the point.

And the need for legal protection is probably because without it any opportunist from either party who isn't scared of dying from covid would have been tempted (maybe even smart) to go try to catch it, attend the rally, claim they got it there, and sue for a large amount of money.

Stop being hysterical about a freaking waiver for a rally that you (or I) would never attend anyway. My guess is a large portion of the people who will attend the rally are glad to sign the waiver and/or would have gladly volunteered to risk it regardless.

This is so stupid to be wasting your time worrying/ranting about when its a rally for someone who nearly everyone on this board absolutely hate and would never attend one of his events. Please try not to be outraged by anything and everything you can possibly think of when it comes to trump. Many of us would find it easier to take you seriously if you could.

The only people who have any reason to whine about the waiver are Trump supporters who want to attend the rally, but don't want to sign the waiver, so are unable to attend. Or I guess anyone who wants to attend the rally in general but don't want to sign the waiver so are unable to go....but my guess is that number is close to 0 total people.

You think it would be more intelligent to do no waiver and get sued by lord knows how many people? My god. Deep breaths.

So they’re knowingly holding a rally with full knowledge that there’s a chance to contract the disease? And the ones who sign the waiver are too stupid to understand that? Is that your conclusion Illy? If so it makes them more culpable. Not less

I think the people going to/holding the rally understand there is a risk and don't give a shit. Or they don't think there is a risk (which is wrong) and don't give a shit.

I don't think the people deciding to hold the rally are smart or doing the right thing.

I don't think the people deciding to go to the rally are smart or doing the right thing.

I do wonder if these type of waivers won't be very common for many things going forward?

If someone wants to complain that a rally is being held because they feel its a risk to public health then i understand your point of view AND AGREE.

but if someone wants to just whine about a waiver to an event they'd never attend then that's annoying to me.

But Oklahoma in many areas is similar to some rural areas if IL. They are fed up with quarantine. We've got county fairs pitching a fit they can't hold their county fair this summer. People have had enough....i don't share their beliefs. But there's only so much that can be done to stop them and it can only go on so long. For many, that length of time has passed.

No I get it.

Some of you are making a dumb stance that "if there is no risk then why the need for a waiver". Its not complicated. I think nearly everyone agrees there is a risk. Even many of the people who will attend....and you are conveniently (on purpose) ignoring the high likelihood someone will get covid19 there and without the waiver would potentially have the ability to sue (who they would be filing the lawsuit against i don't have the slightest idea?).

So many more productive things to spend your time worrying about imo.

I think holding the rally is stupid/dangerous to not only those attending but the rest of us.

I thinking whining about the waiver if you're not attending is stupid.
