I think I have a new retirement plan lol..I keep reading about egg prices going crazy. I counted this morning....I have 197 eggs right now with probably 15-20 i havent collected yet. Im rich, Q is gonna call me evil.
we bake a quiche per week just so eggs don’t go to waste
squared, separated and frozen for a quick breakfast or lunch
thats a good idea, maybe ill start doing that.
I've given away tons of eggs just to make sure they're used. I also supplement the dog food with eggs..its great for their coats.
If you dont wash them and remove the bloom until you're ready to use them eggs actually stay good and fresh a long damn time.

Today's example of the pussification of the USA.
Was supposed to go on a work "team" outing for lunch today.
Received an email last night stating that due to the forecasted weather conditions the outing is cancelled.
Today's weather forecast for 12:00pm is....
Sunny, 25 to 27 degrees, 10 mph wind.
We live in Chicago. It's February 17th.
WTF?
Does it have to be 40+ degrees to go out for lunch?
I have no problem walking to work in this weather. Why would I?
The restaurant is within a much shorter walking distance to our office than my commute is each morning and late afternoon - so if it's too cold for the pussies to walk then why not take a cab/Uber?
Right?
My hope is my example of pussification can earn at least a small letter JFC from Overlander.

25 degrees is perfect try fine to walk to lunch.
Many many hundreds of thousands (including me) do much more in much lower temps.
oh and.... a preemptive...JFC

Received a check in the mail from a class action suit. It’s a substantial amount. Equal to a month’s salary for me.
People (and their attorney) sued a former owner of the building I live in. Took 4 years but I’m reaping the reward/s.
Anyways, am I overthinking it that the check was sent through the USPS not registered - and there was no heads up from the attorney that he was sending it. Is that normal?

I don't eat a ton of them, but I like eggs. (Preferably not hard boiled, mainly because of the smell.)
Trad, my first question is, where's the cheese?
Like Tdub, I'd likely drop the tomatoes. Not because I don't like tomatoes, I do, but they make everything so wet. Same when it comes to scrambled eggs, omelettes, etc., I prefer mine dryish. I might add diced red bell pepper or something, instead.
Speaking of eggs, I'll probably fix bacon & egg fried rice in my wok tonight.
This makes ~ 4 servings:
4-5 eggs
12 oz bacon chopped
1 medium onion chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups (prepared) brown rice
2 cups broccoli florets blanched
½ diced bell pepper (or peas or carrots)
2 Tbs soy sauce
2 Tbs oyster sauce

Never would have thought you were one of those cooks who always leaves an ingredient out of your recipes when sharing them so the recipients version will never be quite as good as yours.

Love is like a fart.
It's unpredictable.
It doesn't last forever.
It feels good.
It stinks.

Our house sold a few weeks ago. We're in a townhouse now.
How many hours should I listen to my neighbor's subwoofer before I start pounding on the wall?

Turns out, 5 hours. I banged on the wall twice. It's turned down but not off. Making me nutz.

That has to suck, after having your own home.
And you're off to Minneapolis?

Had a similar problem last night. New neighbor has a studio apartment that can't be bigger than 600 square feet. He decided to have 6 guests come over to his apartment. Well, not really to his apartment being that they felt it was ok to congregate in the hallway outside his apartment, drink alcohol, and speak to each loudly.
I got my gun, opened my door, and shot all of them.
Ok, thankfully they left the hallway right as I was about to open my door and politely tell them to please be respectful. Which is what I would have suggested you do in your situation. Knock on your neighbor's door (not wall) and respectfully tell them to please turn down their music.

The night they moved in, they had a party with really loud music. I knocked in their door at 2am. They would not answer but they did turn the music off.
They do this every couple of weeks. I don't mind but they went 7+ hours yesterday/last night without a break.
I told Mrs 99 that I was filing a complaint. With them going at least two hours after me banging on the wall, I think I'm going through with it.
