He's going to be a stud.

Stealing this from a friend.

He's not ready, but what if smashes AA and in 2021 we could have:

2 Perez
3 Santana
4 Merrifield
5 Witt, Jr.
6 Mondesi
7 Benintendi
8 Bradley, Jr.
9 Dozier
DH Soler

If Kansas City really is now Allowed to Have Nice Things, then the narrative of Pat and Bobby, Parking Lot Pal Superstars, and everything that goes with it, is straight out of Hollywood.

Witt seems ready. Like I hoped. This team has been great this Spring. Santana ripped one the other day; looks hungry.

Still hasn't seen real pitches over real games.

Normal AA this summer will give us a much better idea.

I am on the Robin Yount train for him. Sounds like Mahomes. Team first. 6-17 with two HRs. Glove. Give him the development in the show. Sometimes it is better for confidence. But I know the money is on gradualism. Man, Trammel and Whittaker too with Adalberto.

What about Starling? Didn't the Royals re-sign him?

He'll be a very fringe player. He's not on the 40-man roster. He'll be a AAA player with a potential to be an MLB rotational guy.

The best pitching he's ever seen in his life...was in fanless glorified spring training in T-Bones Stadium last summer.

I love every last thing I see about Witt, but you have to get some game information about his approach before you throw him into the show. Very possible, if not overwhelmingly likely, that he'd tank like Gordon out of the gate. Gordon recovered. Most don't.

Can Starling run the triple option?

I mean, probably could. Brandon Weeden 2.0? Let's do it.

I think AA Witt is the money move; but I really like his familiarity with the MLB and maturity. Like Mahomes, he is a pretty safe bet. Exciting conversation to have no matter what.

Dayton is in a real (awesome) pickle if Witt shows plate discipline and raking in AA early on.

Yes and no; with the minors not starting until May now, even the fastest of the fast timelines put him in the majors in June...which will be after the Super Two cutoff.

I think it is more realistic to hold him down for at least a couple hundred plate appearances. In this regard, Dayton is Nicky's biggest fan.

And hasn't Dayton showed before he doesn't care about the service time stuff? If you can play, he's going to bring you up to play.

I think he'll be up as soon as he's clearly ready to help the big league club. I don't think he can prove that until, conveniently, some time after the Super Two deadline passes.
