Why was insurance cheaper pre-ACA?

You didn't have health insurance through your employer?
Insurance companies exist to make a profit. Before obamacare they could reject applicants who were high risk or had preexisting conditions.
I do NOT think it is ALL bad. Pre ACA around 61% of americans were uninsured iirc. So we needed something. It just wasn't a perfect fix.

You don't want to listen to this point, but: they were
chosen not because they will back Trump from, like, a partisan standpoint. They were chosen because they are
true believers in far-right orthodoxy. And that, not loyalty to a particular person, is the threat.
I hear you....but
that's what conservatives do, they pick conservative justices....just like liberals pick liberal justices.
Some of it i agree with some of it i don't.
I believe in a womans right to choose.
I also believe in healthcare for all, but not via forcing traditional insurance companies to cover individuals who are high risk or have pre existing conditions. Just like i wouldn't expect life insurance companies to be forced to cover high risk individuals or individuals with pre existing conditions.
Healthcare for all needs to be achieved by some sort of hybrid model. Let healthy people have traditional insurance that was WAY cheaper pre ACA....come up with a government funded healthcare model for those that can't obtain (or don't want to obtain) private insurance do to preexisting consitions/risk factors/financial cost. So that EVERY SINGLE PERSON has access to affordable healthcare.
There's no point in spinning in circles on the point, but there's
ideological bent, and there's eminently unqualified, intellectually (Kavanaugh) and eminently unqualified, by experience (Barrett).

Could you imagine the outrage if a liberal nominee was sitting on the stand crying and yelling I LIKE BEER!

A liberal court candidate will have a wet hard drive discovered in Slovenia. And film! A dossier!
Seriously, the Hunter Biden stuff is pretty hilarious when you unpack it as greatest hits of Roger Stone. And some revenge rip offs from Steele.

Meh, i wouldn't be shocked if a lot of the Hunter Biden stuff has some truth to it (maybe a lot of truth to it). Dude looks like a sleaze ball and fucked his dead brothers widow.
In real life away from their parents politics i bet he and trump Jr would be the best of friends.

You are falling into the false equivalency trap again.

Strange. I spent almost no time voting and even less time worrying about it being counted. If you vote in person or if you mail/drop off your ballot before the deadline there is ZERO reason to worry about your vote being counted.

Tell that to the 100,000+ Texans who voted exactly as they were told to and that may have their ballot thrown out because the Republicans decided that drive-up voting isn't legit after the ballots had already been submitted. Or the small town person who gets their mail-in ballot in on time but doesn't know if it will arrive on time since courts determined post-mark date wasn't good enough. Or someone that doesn't remember if their signature when they registered many years ago was their "readable" signature or their usual "messy" signature.

Full time residents like 1200 LOL but if you count y’all tourists too, then on any given day it’s however much half the population of Fort Worth is.
